I would love to help out if it's in Calgary. I haven't posted in years and usually just read posts as I am not much of a social online person . I am pretty sure I have met a couple of the people that have posted on this thread a long time ago at an Edmonton pony meet (2009???). Feel free to message me as I usually miss most posts as I am not on here daily. I can donate some prizes for the meet .

And a deep-fried food festival!  This year they had deep fried butter, deep fried avocado, and deep fried dill pickle chips!  *makes drooling noises*

Great to see that there is interest in the meet!    I definitely would love some input on the swag bags and freebies - what do you all think would be fun to gift everyone with?  Merchandise bits n' bobs?  Pony care products?  Artsy handcrafted gifts?

Just thought with a bump we might actually have a chance off getting this off the ground this summer!

I would also love to attend a meet in Calgary. I likely wouldn't be able to help too much until Brownies wraps up at the end of April but after that I wouldn't mind lending a hand in some way.

Ahhh, time to revisit this thread again.  I'm so thrilled to see people are interested! 

I have requested a list of blackout dates for summer from my local community hall.  I think we can pull this off, if people donate to help cover basic expenses - like renting the hall.    I don't want to sell tickets, but it is an option!  Also if we rent the hall, a commercial BBQ is available - would someone take the responsibility for cooking things?  I don't have much experience with it so it's best left to others who DO have experience! 

Also... do we want this to be a lunch-n-learn type thing about cleaning or customizing techniques/history or a free range meet n-greet-n-BST?  If anyone is interested in speaking about something... please speak up, LOL!

Personally I'd be fine with either a meet-n-greet or a lunch n' learn, and I'd donate whatever I could! I'm no good at cooking, so someone else would have to take up those reins

I like the idea of the lunch and learn. I also like the idea of tickets then you know that some things can be covered!  Then you could purchase raffle/game prizes with extra funds too!  I'm sure we can find a husband/boyfriend willing to get away from the pony people to run the BBQ if we aren't careful they might fight for the chance!  LOL

I'm glad we are seeing a few more people poking in and saying they'd help and love to attend!

My husband will be with he and I'm sure he could help with a BBQ. At the Michigan meet we paid $5 at the door to help cover costs.
