What to do with No Country Daddy Apple Delight?
« on: October 12, 2013, 04:26:26 PM »
I just got my second No Country Daddy pony... and he has this really ugly haircut. I'm not a fan of the way it looks on him at all... but, I am not really sure if he's the type of pony that I should not rehair because it would "ruin" him?

I only dabble in collecting Nirvanas, so I'm hoping some of you gurus can shed some opinions on what you would do with him?

Here he is :)

I personally do not think there is anything wrong with re-hairing him, whether it is original or alternate. I know wizzer re-haired one of hers, he looks quite awesome. I have considered re-hairing one of my own but have not had a good enough alternate idea for him. They are not especially pricey, sought after or hard to acquire, as far as Nirvanas go. He is yours do with what you wish. :) Or, spike it up into a mohawk...

I was thinking about this but... what do you use to do that?

I say try the mohawk, then decide about re-hairing... It might be possible to get it to dry upright, even without any products, by laying him on his side to dry. I have a Tex with a mohawk about that length, it does not go down...I have tried and failed.

Hahah well, yeah I think I will because that was actually my first thought "Maybe it'd look better as a mohawk" - it just looks... like he has a weird bowl-cut right now! :lmao:

The NC family ponies are pretty common :) I don't see any harm in rehairing him if you want to do so.

Yeah...I say rehair him...or give him a cute hair style with what he's got....like Himmie said I rehired a NC daddy sweet celebration because his hair was bad...and honestly I see him all the time...so I figured why not ......and I didn't plan on ever parting with him like all the boy ponies that enter my house...hehe....go for it! ^.^

I wouldn't do anything to him....but it took me years to get my NC daddies. To me, his hair is too good to scalp and rehair. As far as value, with the haircut he falls around $15

Yeah, I don't see them but I hardly look I guess... and I'm glad his value is at least that, I didn't overpay, which is good I suppose! :) Perhaps if I was in the loop more, lol and if they're so common, someone wanna hook me up with a NC Daddy Bright Bouquet?!
