I love this series but I am still missing uncut season two on DVD and I think one other season as well. They are super expensive though.  I would love to read the manga though, but not right now, due to buying a house.  I do hope to complete the dolls someday though. I got the first set except for tuxedo mask at the flea market years ago in good shape with the boxes for $ 45.00

Okay, I like Sailor Moon a lot. I made my husband dress up with me one year for halloween.

Sailor Jupiter is my favorite though! And I didn't like Tuxedo Mask in the anime either - he was a better character in the Manga. By the end of the anime, I was rooting for Usagi to stay with Seiya, ha.

I actually just wrapped up reading the re-released manga and really liked it. I remember the first time i heard of Sailor Moon was when I was a little kid. My family was getting ready to take a trip down to Florida and they woke me up at 4:30 in the morning (I was like, six, seven? Maybe). I did not want to be awake and my granny was trying to find something on tv that looked interesting enough to keep me from falling back asleep. Ran across Sailor Moon and then I didn't want to leave!

Sailor Jupiter has always been my favorite. I liked her personality and her character design. I also really like the outer scouts, with Pluto and Saturn coming in as second favorites. Currently I've been tearing apart my parent's house looking for some of my missing dolls T_T

What'd you think of the ending of the manga? I had no idea how it ended, even after being such a fan as a kid.

I love the manga. Faaaaar more than the anime the manga made me fell for the characters, especially Chibi-moon. She has to be my favorite Scout. And the last saga was written really well with all other Senshi from around the Universe

Loved the anime as a kid, though a lot of guys watched it, even if they wouldn't admit it . I loved this show as it shows women being both strong and feminine at the same time, and that was so cool! Sailor Mercury and sailor Jupiter were always my two favorites. I haven't read the manga yet, was it better than the anime like everyone says?

It really depends on one's tastes, I think. But yeah, I would recommend the manga to anyone, whilst I wouldn't do it when it comes to the anime.

I both liked the ending of the manga, and was at the same time sad to see it end. I wont say much else on it because I don't want to risk spoiling anything for anyone

I would recommend the manga to most people. I really liked it with the one exception being I wished it was longer. Not because I didn't want it to end but rather because I felt in a few areas it was a condensed version and could have used another volume or two in certain arcs to round things out so it wasn't so rushed.

Thanks, I'll have to pick up the manga now. I was asking cause of the recent re-realease of the manga, and if it was good I was going to start getting them. Has anyone read the prequel Manga Codename: Sailor V?

And Seyia... oy, sailor stars! My least favorite season! My friend said they totlally butuchered the manga with that one, so I'm hoping the original version will be way better than the anime was! O_o

I love Sailor Moon. Besides Ariel it's probably my next largest obsession err....I mean collection. I started watching it when I was a teenager when it first aired in the US and I got hooked. I have all sorts of stuff: dvds, vhs, cds, posters, dolls, plastic figures, trading cards, stickers, playing card decks, pins, plush and a lot of other stuff. The new manga translations are great. I have only read about half of them though since my husband is buying them for me as "gifts". Looking forward to the new anime series (hopefully some good merchandise) and that perhaps some 20th anniversary merchandise will find it's way to stores (not holding out too much hope but who knows).

I have trading card series 1 ,2, and 3 but I am missing tons of cards for them including all the chase cards. I really want them but the only ones I can find are the TCG ones and that is not what I am looking for.

Wasn't it originally going to be this year? Why is it pushed back so much... sigh.

Or wait, could that mean early 2014? I always think of winter as the end of the year.
