Heh, I've played through the story line twice, once on X and once on Y. I'll have to play through once more for Articuno if I want to complete the pokedex myself and twice more if I want Mega Venusaur and Mega Charizard Y...

I even got my very first non scripted shiny on my Y run, although it's just a Nosepass

I sent out half a box of Growlithe earlier and I'll send out the other half tonight. Three boxes of Growlithe and no shiny. I may have to try the Safari.

Gaahh.... why is everyone finding shinies but me!? I really want a shiny Sylveon...... but I can find any shiny eevees....

I haven't found one yet, but I am in the process of breeding Eevees to get a shiny, which I will turn into a shiny Sylveon.

I haven't found a good place to farm for Eevee with the Poke Radar, and I spent hours in Milky's Friend Safari hoping for shinies. Breeding doesn't take a lot of focus, only a little while farming up the eggs, just a lot of time, which all of the shiny farming methods take. I can watch movies with the wife while breeding and hatching, so it's fine. If I look away for a moment, I don't risk missing which patch of grass shakes vigorously to continue my chain. I also don't have to worry about the shiny I find being a pokemon I'm not after, but catch grudgingly only because it's shiny.

Mm, true. I wish I had a foreign Eevee for the Masuda method, that would be easy.

I don't have any shines either....but I'm breeding Ponytas as we speak.  Breeding for them is easy, just takes time.  After this I'm after a shiny Eevee, then who knows.  Eventually, maybe Talonflame will be the leader of a shiny army, lol.

I have a shiny in White 2, caught it in White. But I really want a cute Sylveon pair.... male regular Sylveon and a Shiny eevee, male or female, it'd be so cute.

hahahaha, sorry, my Shiny girl from that game is an Unfezant. But I think any shiny Mega would kick some butt.

Lol, once I get my Ponyta and my Eevee, maybe Absol will be my next shiny quest.  Like you said, any shiny mega would be awesome to have on a team. 
Though, I'll be on cloud 9 when I get this dang horse...I've never caught a shiny, do I'm determined, lol
