Eeee omg omg I caught my first shiny pokemon! I was just coming here to post about how I've been wandering the friend safari off and on for the last couple of days trying to find a shiny Ponyta with no luck, when I FOUND ONE! My favorite shiny pokemon, and the only shiny I've ever seen in-game (minus red Gyarados and the event ones.) So psyched! I only wish it was a female, but hey, I'm not complaining :P
Congrats on the shiny Ponyta! :D Are you going to evolve it?
Thank you so much for the adoptable, Corona! :D

Thanks! Nope, I'm not going to evolve it-- I've been giving my Ponytas everstones for the last several games just because I like Ponyta better than Rapidash :P My new shiny Ponyta is taking the place on my team that previously belonged to a level 60 Ponyta.

Oh wow, a shiny ponyta is certainly also on my list, I've loved that pony for sooo long! I do like rapidash tho, so I might let it evolve when I find one.

So to find shinies in friends safari, does the friend need to be online?

Are the shinies you guys keep finding all in the Friend Safaris?  I was thinking they were being found in the regular game.  *oops*

^_^  Thanks, I kinda like my little Chespin sig

ooo, Calico_Star, congrats!!  I've never even seen a shiny ingame before, lol!   I have been stalking friend safaris to find SOMETHING...most of my friends don't have anything spectacular in their safaris though, it's mostly stuff I can already catch out in the game, lol.
Anybody here have ponytas or awesome pokes you can't already catch in the wild in the game??

I'm... Not certain how this happened. I caught a lvl 30 female Anticipation Eevee in Milky's Friend Safari with a Quick Ball. I acquired a male Japanese Eevee that was apparently hatched, as it was level 1 and in a regular Poké Ball. I bred them together and got over thirty eggs in a starting bid to hatch a shiny Eevee. Every single egg has a Quick Ball icon instead of the Poké Ball.

Not sure why the pokeballs are that way.

But good luck breeding a shiny!  I'd love a shiny eevee too!

Starting with this gen, the offspring will be in the Pokeball of whatever the mother (or non-ditto parent, I think) was caught in, provided you have at least one of that ball in your Bag (it doesnt take the balls away from you). I caught a Pokemon in a Premiere Ball and all of her babies are in Premiere Balls.

That's a new breeding mechanic for X and Y :) The kids will have the same pokeball type that the mother has. With Bargain Power lv3 I've just splurged on various types of pokeballs in Lumiose and have just used ones that I think aesthetically suit the pokemon I'm catching (used a Heal Ball for my shiny pink Minccino, but most things get a Luxury Ball or Dusk Ball).

Oops, Milky was faster than me :silly:

I don't have an extra on me, but have you tried the GTS? :) People are going nuts over Scatterbugs in their quest to collect all 18 Vivillons, so if you offer up a Scatterbug, it shouldn't take long for you to get a Spritzee, especially if you don't put restrictions on level or gender.
