Naturally as a big fan of Doctor Who I was totally interested in this guy, but upon closure inspection, I found I'm not really impressed with the production of this whole Funko line. I don't really need to add anything more to my collection then I already have going anyways, so I think it's best if I don't add this one to the mix.

Meh, he looks kind of boring for my taste and is even worse wit the standing like a soldier pose  there are other background boys who I would love to see being made.

Also I don't care about the Dr Who show

However the sparkle version of this pony is mush interesting, he looks like he is made off coca cola, but I'm not crazy about him ethier

Um... my husband has been watching Doctor Who since he was a little boy. He grew up watching it on the BBC, and nowadays it keeps him inspired and happy through tough times. Today I ran into an older man on the bus who was reading a classic Who novel, and the series is celebrating its 50th birthday this year. "Teenage?" :/

What's the main point of any fictional TV show other than to entertain people?

I'm not sure if I want to collect the Funko stuff... but if I did, I'd start with Dr. Whooves.   I love the insignificant background ponies, especially the male ones.  I like the color brown on ponies way better than yet another pink one.

My husband was afraid to show me the classic stuff at first because he was afraid I'd find it too campy. It is VERY campy and not every story is a winner. And while some stories are universally popular, every fan will have different opinions as to where you should start.

If you have any kind of streaming service, it's certainly easiest to start with the beginning of the new series. It's very fun and accessible, and it doesn't throw a bunch of stuff at you that you'd need to know from the old series, because when it was made it was presumed (correctly) that there would be a lot of viewers who were new to the franchise as the show had been off the air for so long. The new series gives you a lot of background and context for if you decide to check out the classic stuff.
