I dont mind the weird and random names which G3 got but some of the G1 names were very odd - Floater and Swinger and Tootie Tails being those I always think of first in threads like this.

I'm not thrilled with Kimono. Isn't that the equivalent of naming a pony "Shirt?"

Also not a fan of ponies named for real life/"human" places, like Hollywood or Honoluloo. To me, ponies live in a completely foreign fantasy land and have no association with humans!
Also don't like when the creators just name a pony after their symbol instead of something even a little creative, like with poor Cupcake, Waterfire, and...did I read that right? Orange Flower? Wow is that bad. It's not even a blossom from an orange tree...her symbol literally is an orange flower. Uuggghh

Not a fan of the names of the Sweet Kisses ponies, especially their UK names. They're just a bit...questionable. Kiss-and-Tell? Really? But then again, who an I to begrudge ponies their rights as sexual beings?

Someone mentioned Tra-la-la. Am I the only one who thinks of Captain Underpants on hearing that name?

Pillow talk and floater were the first that came to mind. I loved reading the others too.
But one other came to mind. Baby Dangles .... I got such a snicker from reading this thread!!!!

When they add sparkle or rainbow or glitter or dazzle to a name... I usually shake my head. Yes, this does include Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle haha

I really do think the names got worse as far as creativity as the generations went on, but I guess there are only so many names out there!

There's a pony named FLOATER? Hahaha, oh dear, both of the "slang" definitions of that word are not nice at all. Also giggling at Baby Dangles.

I remember being surprised by the name Pillow Talk myself, but it's a cute name.

My least favourite names are the long clunky ones Hasbro mashed together to appease G4 fans i.e. Lyra Heartstrings, Trixie Lulamoon. Should have stuck with one or the other imo.

I would just like to take a moment to point out that the pony 'Silver Rain' is in no way 'silver' or 'rainy'. She's blue and white, and her mark/symbol is a bow. P:

It's not a bad name or anything, but it's always been a bit of a pet peeve since I found out about her (after I'd already picked this username).
