Favorite Condiments?

Condiments make food, and dare I say life, more interesting.  What do you like to put all over your food?

I personally like hot sauce on everything.  Frank's Red Hot for flavor, and for heat, Sriracha.  I also love dipping my fries in honey mustard.  It's always been a comfort combination for me.  I also have a dangerous obsession with horseradish.  Mmmmm.

If I had to choose a favourite condiment, it will be oyster sauce. Hehe. It goes with everything! Vege, fish, chicken, even... (wait for it!) OYSTERS.

Hubby and I were actually just talking about this the other day. Turns out I don't really like condiments very much. I like them in very small amounts with rare exception.

I find it interesting that mayo is one of the only things without any votes.  It's a very polarizing condiment.

About the only thing that fits in my anti-inflammatory diet would be coconut aminos. Good substitute for soy sauce. Coconut oil, too.

I don't have one favorite for everything, so I voted honey mustard & other (sweet & sour sauce) for chicken nuggets (one or the other - not both).... And sour cream & other (guacamole) for mexican food. Lol. But I don't like any of those on my turkey sandwiches. Ah well, decisions decisions! Can I say "other" is for pesto too? Not sure if pesto's a condiment... Oh wellll. Obviously, I love me some sauce!

I love barbecue sauce! Even though I don't eat meat, I put it on fries, veggie burgers, baked beans... lots of stuff. I also voted other because I am in love with Thai peanut sauce. Great on sandwiches, noodles, veggies, tofu. I could drink that stuff right from the bottle

I have Taco Bell hot sauce packets in the fridge that I use on almost everything.

I gave mayo its one vote. Though the break down of what I like, depends on what I'm eating.
Hot sauce=Tapito
Mustard=spicy brown or horse radish based
Vinegar=malt
BBQ sauce=Bulls Eye original
Ranch dressing=generic brands are fine
Soy Sauce=Kikoman

Mostly it's a toss up between salty and spicy. Now I want fish and chips.

Its hard for me since I react to a lot of things.  Cheese, if theres not a lot of it, seems to be safe though

I LOVE tarter sauce... and I don't eat seafood.

Ranch.  Ranch everywhere.  And I mean the good, home/house-made stuff.  Not the stuff in the bottle ><

My mom also makes this horseradish cream sauce whenever she makes a rib roast.

I'm also a sucker for malt vinegar on fries~

Ranch dressing please. Fries, pizza, onion rings, salads, pizza rolls just about everything.


You knew you grew up with crappy school food when you used ranch for everything when you at it lol. It was the only way to tolerate those hot school lunches.

That question is really context sensitive.  I am no more likely to put soy sauce on a hot dog as I am to put ketchup on a stir fry. 

I guess in general I love mayo.  Especially the Japanese kind.  I have been on a big ketchup kick lately, not sure why, normally I find it too fake or something.  I also really love a good grainy mustard (the kind that comes in a jar not a squeeze bottle) but I like to pair it with something else, like mayo or ketchup and pickles/relish, sometimes I can eat jars of that a week.  Though we eat a lot of asian food in my house, so pickles and soy are used the most.
