Draw Along With OneWingChangeling

Edit: Greetings Pony Art! I have come from the land of Off Topic to entertain you and brighten your day. What would you like to see drawn?

I probably shouldn't be doing this at 12 in the morning, but what the heck? Midnight is the perfect time for art. YOYO. That's what all the cool kids are saying, right? YOYO...? Anyways, the point of this thread is simple: I have some new brush pens. I need to practice making decent lines with said brush pens and scanning in the pictures nicely. Here's where you come in, I need your inspiration! Pick a thing, any (SFW) thing-it doesn't even have to be a pony thing-and I'll draw it up and post it free of charge. I can't promise my drawings will be good, but they'll be something.

Also, if any other artistic arena members out there would like to do the prompts along with me you are more than welcome to. Let's inspire each other to reach artistic enlightenment, you guys!

Here's a little warm up piece. In this image, Ralph the Shirtless Lumberjack proves his manhood once and for all to his arch nemesis, the Vlasic™ pickle stork. Thwarted, the filthy bird flies off, but it's too late-soon, he too shall be consumed by the hungry wood cutter, as will the pickly goodness that taunted the poor man for so long. Join us next week when Ralph takes on Mr. Clean in a 1v1 showdown-will he avoid the confines of the shower and retain his manly essence? Stay tuned for more Ralph the Shirtless Lumberjack!

Draw a tree that grows on the moon? Bonus points if it isn't a typical tree with leaves and/or fruit. c: (I don't know if you want a story like the one you posted for Ralph...if you do I can write something quick).

This sounds like fun! I would love to join, but any art I do right now should be limited to making tiling textures or UVing. I will be stalking this thread though!

I had my doubts about this one since I drew a bit too small, but it cleaned up nicely after scanning. Well, as nice as I could make it at that size. >_< I wound up inventing a story as I was drawing along:

If you ask a farmer where a cow gets her bell he'll laugh and say that he gives it to her. This, like the things most people say, is a lie. Good cowbells aren't made or given, they're grown, and for a cowbell to ring just right so a farmer can hear his cows from any corner of the world, they have to be picked ripe. Naturally, the ideal place to find such a crop is on the moon. When a cow hits a certain age, and when the moon is big and perfectly round in the sky, she'll jump up, up and away! She'll jump past the tallest skyscrapers, past the clouds, past airplanes, higher and higher until she reaches the moon. Then, when the timing is just right, when the ripest cowbell is blown from the tree boughs, she reaches out, grabs it, and sails back down to the safety of the pasture. And that, my friend, is why cows jump over the moon.

That's also why Christopher Walken is always demanding more cowbell too; he is, in fact, an alien from the moon and wishes to hear the sound of his homeland once more. But that's another story.

Of course, if it's not your thing all my drawings are open to interpretation. :)

Ah, that is perfect! I love how you added in the whole 'cow jumps over the moon' bit into it. A tree which grows bells is something I'd want to see. Awesome drawing AND story!

It looks like you're already comfortable with those new pens to me.

Edit to fix spelling.

Drawn at the request of my SO, who wanted to see Fingies Man and the Cuticle Kid fighting a spider woody. Yup, we're made for each other. :lovey:

How about a pair of preppy sasquatches (what's the plural of sasquatch? :wonder: ) playing squash or croquet?

Here ya' go, some nitty gritty doodles at the top of the hour.

That's sasquatch for 'my father shall hear about this!' I am neither well versed in squash nor sasquatches; forgive the inaccuracies. Ugg (the right sasquatch) reminds me of Peter Sellers for some reason. Separated at the phylogenetic tree?

Mooom, I told you my name is Raven Nightshade!

...More tea Elspeth?

This one was inspired by an old children's book I had. It featured a bunch of dragons sleeping in various areas of a girl's home, threatening to thwart her plans of stealing cake from the refrigerator, one of which was a trendy punk dragon. I like the idea of a punk dragon having tea parties in his little sister's room. I like the idea of dragons in suburbia in general, actually. Maybe I should write that. My Life as a Teenage Dragon, Waddaya think?

I'm totally loving these, they're awesome!

If you're still doing these, can I request one?  This one is from a conversation that lacked puncutation...  I would like a Loki grapefruit.  You interpret that how you want as it could go a couple of different ways.

Thanks!
Thank you to SquarePeg for my beautiful avi.
