I believe it was Kenner and I know they are from the 80s.  =)  Congrats on such an awesome birthday present!  I remember having Daffodil and Rose when I was younger.  They were some of my favorite toys besides MLPs.

they are beautiful and I wonder if they were ever sold in the UK? Was Kenner part of the British brand Palitoy? I have a memory of that being the case but Im not sure....anyhow, thanks for posting the pictures, they are lovely  x

I wanted Rose Petal more than anything for my birthday one year, and they were extremely hard to find at the time. It seemed like they flew off the shelves as soon as stores put them out. My mom was actually able to snag one - the only one in a store 40 miles away - for me. I got my presents that morning, and she wasn't there. That evening when the cake came out and I was told to make a wish, I silently wished for a doll. After I blew out the candles my mom said, "Oh, I forgot to give you something earlier." As you can imagine, I was thrilled to unwrap Rose Petal. :) My mom did that every year. She would hold back the best gift until the cake was served.

Later I also had Daffodil (my second favorite), Orchid, and Sunny Sunflower. I also had some books and Rose Petal's Cottage, which looks like this:

Edit: I noticed the image doesn't show, so I found another pic.

I heard of them in the 80s but never saw them until this thread. I really like Miss Iris!
