How to deep-clean and disinfect Sylvanian Families?

Had a traumatic Dolls house incident today.

Got my dollhouse of the attic - to find mice had moved in. Everything was disgusting. I had to throw it all away, except for some of the sylvanians in residence who i would like to keep.

I know that because of flocking, certain methods like bopiling water and bleach would not work as it would certainly remove flocking. They were in an extremely nasty biohazzard squat-hole (I wont go into more detail but....it was BAD) and I need them CLEAN clean!

Any tips?

Oh I am so sorry. I had something similar happen with my dolls house stuff. I have no useful advice except that I wiped down the hard plastic sylvanian families furniture with disinfectant and currently have a bag of sylvanian animals in the garage whilst I wonder what to do with them The mice also got some of my Sindy stuff

antibacterial soap, warm water, and a soft toothbrush. Scrub gently and they should be fine.

Yuck! At least you were able to salvage some of them.

You could also try those sterilising tablets (sorry I've had a complete mind blank on the name) that are used to sterilise baby bottles. Just check it won't remove the flocking on a small area first.

But a clean off first sounds like its needed too.

Thanks guys Sorry to hear you had a similar problem Gothmummy! Yeah I suppose just a clean with warm water and soap -

The sterilising tablet idea sounds good too, I think I'll need to find an unfortunate test dummy sylvanian to try stuff on.

Just thinking....if they spent a night (double bagged) in the freezer would that also kill bacteria?
Do flocked things take any weird damage to being frozen?
