Dashie fursuit head :D

My third attempt at one of these, she needs pink eyes, inner mouth fixed up and a little work inside, then im on to the rest of her! She is far from perfect, but im overall happy with the result. (She does have purple in her mane, just cant see it from this angle)

Pretty dang spiffy so far! Might I ask what you're using for the whites of her eyes, though?

For cartoony whites of eyes, MOST fursuit makers will use simple smooth white plastic bowls ( cheap white salad serving bowls from a dollar store will do, AND you'll end up having left over plastic for another head later on down the line, or when / if you wish to replace the current eyes. ) that have a high shine to them. It does take a bit of sanding to smoothen out the edges after being cut up, but they're easier to remove when you feel like changing the eyes or need to do repairs, they're easier to clean, they already have a curve to them for that natural curved eyeball look, and they stand out so much more.

I can't begin to tell you how many times I've changed the eyes on Pixistix so far, and I technically finished her last year. My purple and white pup is looking cuter and cuter every year. Now just to figure out how to install a small CPU fan inside her muzzle before New York Comic Con in a few weeks. I'm going to diiiiiiiiiiiiiie in that head if I don't find a way to cool down without having to take the head off every 5 minutes. Xx; MUST find a spot there at NYCC that can be used as a makeshift headless lounge, that's out of sight from non-cosplayers and suiters. And the jam packed as heck bathrooms do NOT count.

At most cons and stuff they have a "headless lounge" so you can at least take it off. Im only planning on doing short stints in her, cause its all foam base I know she will be hot.

Sadly, that's not so. The only ones that I've been to that DO have headless lounges are fur cons, and now Bronycon ( going to give Kar and the Big Apple Ponycon peeps another poke to see if they're planning on having one for the 2014 con as well, considering that there are more fursuiters every year at MLP conventions ).

I've yet to really see it for other conventions, though. Some are slowly becoming more open to having lounges / rooms for full suited cosplayers and suiters to just cool off, rehydrate, make sure that they have a healthy snack in them, give them a place to fix costume parts if need be, but it's such a small number of cons that do this. I've been pushing for bigger conventions here in the tri-state area of the east coast of the US to have a cosplayers / headless lounge for some time now, especially for costumers who are only attending said conventions for a day, or don't have a hotel room to stay in to escape to, and they flat out refuse to do it ( meaning AnimeNEXT and New York Comic Con ).

Will you be wearing a balaclava underneath the head? Heh, I can't wait to see her finished! X3
