It's weirder because that brush came with year two Firefly. I'm sorry but this still looks sort of "too good to be true" *grunt* Maybe it's like the 80's pamphlets with their prototypes. What you see before release might not be what you'll be getting in real life?

Still waiting for the picture on this one, which we likely won't see until after January 1. I've been dying to see if the book is Firefly's Adventure!

Wow, I just noticed the ship date isn't until April 2014  Hopefully they can post a picture before then! 

They will, but not until a couple months before the release date. Publishers usually wait because they want to maintain the buzz momentum and keep people excited up until the release. Some publishers like HarperCollins publish their catalogs online so you can see book covers months before they are released or even before the covers are publicly revealed. You can even see the marketing plan for these books.

The publisher of this Firefly book is Running Press, which does the Harry Potter wands, but other than that I'm not super familiar with them. I don't know if they have a catalog online anywhere.

They are on Edelweiss and last I checked the catalog, it wasn't there... today it is..

Maybe Hasbro is testing the waters for G1 re-releases?   But given the "WARNING" text on the box, the pony looks small to me.  like 1/2 size real g1.

Hope what is shown in the picture is legit. Firefly was one of my childhood ponies and one of my all time favorite G1s. It would be nice if Hasbro remembered its roots, with this as a nod to G1.

Okay- well it is up for pre-order on Amazon- I went ahead and got it.  I am still a little bit doubtful considering the low price, but who knows?
