It seems to be for real! It's been on Amazon since September. Nobody knows what it will look like--the toy, at least, there are scans of the book buried in that thread somewhere--but it's only around a month out at this point, so it can't stay secret forever. There's been absolutely no sign of anything Firefly related from any of the usual Chinese sources.

These are not being made for Hasbro, but one of their third party licensees, so the typical Chinese companies might not be making it.

not sure if i can post the link to it or not, but on walmart.com they have a firefly with a book set for pre-order and it looks like the 80's version.

I just got an from Amazon saying they'll get these on the 11th instead of the 24th.

It just occured to me that the "mini" pony could mean something like Dolly Mix ponies.   I don't think standard sized figures were ever refered to as "mini" before, so I don't think we're getting a full sized pony.

Sorry if this was already mentioned -- I haven't read a lot of the pages in this thread.

While this would be cool.  It showed a mini version of the original g1 release Firefly in one of the pictures.  Also, I just got an email today that said that they will be released ahead of schedule.
