Tales Comic Boys

[Deep Purple Crystal]

Does anyone have any Tales comics with Ace, Lancer, and Teddy in? What are their colours and symbols like? Could you scan some of those comics in?

Does anyone know much about these?

They look as you would expect them although like many of the later comics they can change out in body/mane & tail colour on occasion.

Teddy is dark pink with blue hair and sometimes dark blue with orange hair. Always with a comb symbol.

Ace is sometimes green with red hair and sometimes orange with yellow hair. Sometimes he has a football/soccer ball symbol and sometimes he has a playing card ace.

Lancer does not appear any where as often as the other too and he is either dark purple with orange hair or dark purple with pink hair.

Woah, woah. Wait. I didn't know there were Tales comics! How rare or attainable are these?

They are the higher number of the regular and the & Friends releases so they are harder to find. But they do pop up as long as you keep an eagle eye on ebay UK.

In mine, Lancer is light blue with orange hair. There is a comic in no. 209 with him in.

I'm not very good at using cameras or scanners, but I can describe some stories to you.

Patch Babysits: Patch babysits Jinglaling and Tingaling (known as 'the twins' in the comic) while Melody goes to a talent contest. Jingaling and Tingaling are pink instead of grey here and look like mini Melodys except for having bell symbols.

Starlight's Secret: Starlight has a secret crush on Ace. After styling Melody's hair for the talent show, she is worried Ace will love her more than ever. This is my only comic in which Ace speaks. He is green with red hair in the comic, but with the correct symbol.

The Field Trip: The class and Teddy (who is red with blue hair here) go on a field trip and help rangers build a wall. On one page, Ms. Hackney is purple, Sweetheart has blue hair, and Teddy is green with pink hair!

"Falling" For Lancer: The story is mentioned earlier. Patch thinks Bright Eyes has a crush on Lancer. In this story, Lancer has orange hair, but he is dark blue on the first page and light blue on the second!

Hungry Bon Bon: After Patch tells her she is fat, Bon Bon decides to stop eating. The cover story of 212.

Teddy's Bear: Featuring the Barringtons / Berrytowns.

Homework Horror: Teddy (still the wrong red with blue hair) steals Melody's homework. The cover story for 215.

Kitchen Catastrophe: Bon Bon and Clover bake a sponge cake , but when Bon Bon goes to the store for some treacle, Clover thinks the sponge has caught fire and calls the fire department (one of which is Bon Bon's father).

That's about as much as I can describe. In another story, there is a picture where all the boys are laughing, where they are all wrongly coloured.
Also, one last note: The three boys are drawn as Cylesdales in all my comics except 215.

However, I would like to see the variant of Ace with the playing card symbol. I have never seen him with that symbol before.

I cant remember which comic it is in unfortunately but if I get a chance I shall look it out again and let you know the number.
