My first big Goodwill find!!

I have the worst pony luck, just hands down. This particular area where I live doesn't seem like we had a lot of people buying ponies here in the 80s, so, about 90% of the time I go I don't see anything even remotely like ponies (or horses, even), and the other 10% of the time, is fakies, prize ponies or G3.5s...

So today my fiance was coming home from his business trip and I was all dressed up to look nice, and my cat snagged my dress, so I was super bummed! I changed, my fiance gets home and I knew he'd be tired but I was like, "I kinda wanna go to Goodwill to see if I can find a new dress" and so he said he'd go with me...

I walk in, and of course, go to the toys first. I'd like to make mention that before we got out of the car we were talking and he said, "I'm gonna run in there and steal all the ponies before you find them!" and so I said, "Ha-ha there are never ponies here!"

I find a bag of ponies... G1 ponies!

And when I get home, I dump them all out:

Errggg - Baby Firefly and Baby Surprise are Pearly babies, and Baby Crumpet!!! The others in the group are in nice shape too - not the hair yet, but I'll fix that, but ones who were supposed to be pink, still have pink hair - no one is faded... no marker, no haircuts as far as I can tell... except for the tinsel poof on the princess...

This -to date- is my biggest score ever at some sort of goodwill or somewhere that ponies aren't being sold as "vintage pony collectibles" for outrageous prices (such as flea markets or whatever)... I am quickly getting to work on making them look beautiful and can't wait to share photos of them all fixed up!!

Edit: About 2/3s of the group is now all spruced and spa-d up and looking perdy! I ran out of conditioner so I have I think 7 more gals who are drying now, but here's the first batchs' after pics:

Haha yeah I think it must make up for ALL the hundreds of times I've been there without finding a thing, maybe just every once in a great while I can find a bag like this, and ya know what? I'm okay with that! Haha! And it wouldn't even need to have the special babies, I was excited to find ANY G1 ponies!

Awesome!  Now hopefully I get to fall in your shoes!  I NEVER find anything at flea markets, garage sales, or thrift shops.  Seriously, I have like, anti-pony finding mojo.  But again, great find, can't wait to see before/after pics!

Whoo hoo!!!  I think southern IL must have a severe drought when it comes to MLPs at thrift stores...either that or Rhini and Whiskerz just scoop them all up first.  LoL
