Is anyone on Freecycle? Do you like it? What kind of things have you gotten there?

I use Freecycle! I got a washing machine when mine died, then another when that one died in the same week XD New one's still working.
I have also gotten two big boxes of Dungeons and Dragons books, a guinea pig cage, and a few other things I've since forgotten about. I have given away an oven, some clothes and shoes, and yet more things I can't remember.

So far all I have gotten are some bricks, but I'll be putting up some furniture soon.

I'm hoping to possibly find some records, kids books, etc. My city group has over 6,000 members so hopefully there's some good stuff!

There are only 5 members in my area. Doesn't sound too promising, but I'll book mark it!

Actually you might want to ignore that. Because mine says that too, but when I go to the group's Yahoo Groups page - where the posts actually are - it has over 6,000.

The emails drive me nuts, so I send them to junk but every now and then I'll have a look... nothing so far yet though...

I've picked up a bunch of floppy disks and a Playstation, which I'd wanted ever since I was little  Haven't put anything up for grabs yet, but we have a couple of surplus fridges which no doubt someone will be grateful for.

I got a bookshelf. And I've given away a few random things, including a bunch of clothing.

Tonnes actually.

Chairs, mirrors, you name it, I apply for it. Well, when I move out, I'll need things!!

Oh, and a display cabinet by Nathan UK (Teak) with working lights, which when I finished with it, I re-cycled it back to freecycle and a new owner.

Ha!  When I read "Freecycle" my mind went to "Xtracycle".

I was reading posts of ppl carrying washing machines, bricks, guinea pig cages and thinking.... Wow!! All on a bicycle?! These pony people are awesome!!

Then when I hit the part about mailing lists I thought it would be best to google "Freecycle".
Oh. So *that* is what Freecycle is...

http://www.xtracycle.com/
FYI - this is Xtracycle.

I would have bought one, but bought a trike and trailer instead.
Used it for many years instead of a car.  I have a car now, but still have the trike :)
