Warning about the paint on EQ dolls boots
« on: September 03, 2013, 02:12:52 PM »
The paint looks like the gloss that sticks to things!!! Not all of it but there's a glossy white on Rarity's boots that will almost certainly transfer if you rest it against anything it can stick to.

This problem was on the G3 playsets like the Butterfly Island one with glossy white stars. I think it might be more noticeable on the dolls boots should it come off though so thought I'd warn people about it :)

Oh dear! I have encountered that issue with different items over the years - its such a nuisance when it gets "sticky" due to heat or environment. Sometimes that kind of plastic/coating will stick to anything - other plastic, paper, wood :(

Thanks for the warning.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

glossy white? I thought they were purple with blue diamonds, do you have a pic to show what to look out for? sorry I'm just a bit confused.

I was just now wiping the dust off my Wolverine figurine and his boots were really sticky  He's never been in contact with anything sticky, but I couldn't get it off. It's like the boots themselves were sticky

If I'm not mistaken, most, if not all, of the dolls come with variants in their accessories.  I've seen them on shelves where the same style character can have two different boot versions.  Not sure if this is specifically on regular or deluxe Rarity though, sorry!   :lookround:

Yup, that's the paint that becomes sticky.
