That metallic magenta color looks very much like the 80's Astronaut Barbie's color and material.  Barbie likes her pink....

I love her too.  I think the pink is great!  But that may be because my niece loves everything pink and would definitely play with this.  She wants to  be an archeologist but space explorer could be her next career dream.

Agreed, it's great to see her on the shelf but a legit suit with the real NASA logo would have been better.

Thank-you! I think she was released a few years back in the 'career' Barbie reproductions (there was the nurse and student teach too). Is that the blue one? I sure do! It's on a fashionista Nikki. I pretty much collect anything. Ha.
