I'm taking a marketing class and now how Hasbro approaches MLP really makes me cringe.  Equestria Girls has to be one of the worst attempts at market penetration ever.  "Let's like inferior dolls and charge same price as our competition's better made dolls."  Do they have anyone running the MLP department that has any real business sense?

Last I saw their posting for a MLP Brand Manager, you need 5 years of experience and preferably an MBA. However, most Hasbro reps I've come across were completely clueless about the pony world, and they seem to hate the brand,  so it kind of makes me wonder if 5 yrs of exp and an MBA makes a difference to the toyline.

This thread is making me look up Filly Funtasia stuff.

Well, since Hasbro doesn't seem to be noticing the Arena lately... maybe the secret FF sales reps are here! ;)

This Filly thing is evil and deadly, must ....loook...away.... I really like the unicorn with roses in her hair, although it'll be nice if the ponies have nostrils. They look more ponyish to me, and it'll be nice if they are made into brushables. I bought a few of them when I visit Europe some time ago. They are cute but the hooves look kind of clunky and I don't really appreciate the layer of fuzz.

And I almost dropped dead when I saw this

I'd kill for a new traditionally animated series featuring a large cast of G1 characters drawn in the Midnight Castle style.
A new adventure each episode & a variety of toys & playsets, MAKE IT HAPPEN, HASBRO.  :drunk:
Hunting for G2 MLP & Pretty Pony Club magazines! :)

I want to believe the brand will return to its high fantasy roots entirely.  The slice of life genre is a waste of its potential.

Totally agree with this, 100%

I don't know why but I find this adorable.

I LOVE this idea but sadly I don't see it happening.

Oh my gosh they're here!! Has anyone else seen them yet?? I just got back from target and they've got a whole bunch of them stocked. Your predictions were right! The head is completely round, there's no muzzle and I can't even make out the legs! The hair is so sparse I can't even see it! Cutie marks have been reduced from one side to zero, and it's been glittered!

Meet the newest Gen5 My Little Pony, Princess Sparkle Dazzle!

Isn't she a dream! I can wait to play with her and all the other ones that look exactly the same!

I laughed so hard at this thread I had to make a dash for the loo! Thanks everyone for almost making me wet myself  :scared:
I also almost woke up my partner giggling like an idiot XD

I have to ask, what on earth is Filly Funtasia? Is it anything like Filly Princess because it sure looks like it. I see them often in places like the Reject Shop here in Aus.

My input? Everything I can think of has already been said :p

they'll stand upright and walk on their back feet.... wait.

Aren't they already doing this?  Honestly, I think Equestria Girls might be evolve into G5.
