Ooh, those simba girls are gorgeous! Congratulations on finishing the set!
Are there any good pages on simba fakies? I've been wanting to research them more. They really intrigue me and I want to get one in my collection someday.  ^.^

Einhornbaby, I really hate to tell you this - but there's another one of those - the white one. I have her in my childhood collection packed away at my mother's house. I think I have a really old pic somewhere...

Excuse the terrible photo - it's from before the day of digital cameras!

But if that's all of them... I have a complete set! Yay, I didn't even realise!

I've seen those proto pics a million times, but I never noticed that I have those rose brushes and heart combs! I've been trying to get an ID on them for months! I really am learning a lot of things I should have already known today, haha! They're coming out of my sales bag for sure!

Thank you for the link! I have a lot of reading to do.  ^.^
Are there vintage simbas..? Or are they all vintage and no longer made/is there a way to tell? I realized one of the fakies I bought my sister is a simba.

yes, there are both, vintage and new Simbas!
The link I posted above shows mainly the vintage ones.
And these for example are the newer ones :

The Simbas in that style are mostly vintage though, correct?

I know that Simba has been around for a long time as a fakie staple and they've made all sorts of different types. Actually, they were the originators of the molds for Magic Ponies, Bridlemaids, and the like... right? I was under the impression that Simba was the first to make those types of ponies... of course we may never know for sure. I love a good fakie mystery!

So this thread has gone a little quiet, but that's okay, I guess to wake it up a bit I'd like to share my two newest fakies with you all!

So I got a new Styling Starcatcher fakie when I went to Vietnam recently. She cost roughly 21 us dollars, and came with a yellow baby.
Here's the back of the box, srry for how terrible the quality is, like i said in my most recent brag, i was about to get on the plane haha
Lets start with the fakie baby. She's obviously some kind of large new born cuties rip off.
As you can see, she was pretty bad to begin with. Just applying slight pressure to her hair pulled most of it out, she's awkward to look at...but still somehow charming...

Here's the real queen of the hour!

She has a rooted tail and came with a scrunchie around her neck. I chose this one because she had extra eyeshadow.
She used to play music, but I took it out of her. You can see it here on my blog.
She has your typical fakie hair and acrylic eyes.

She laughs. She kind of has totsy looking eyes to me!

"Woaaaaah, duuuuude. I can see into forever."
I think she's more like "Woah, dude! You're going down!"
Her expression makes me think of the Beavis and Butt-head characters when they'd laugh.

(just remember that my blog is about sofia the first and bruises/injuries so if you don't like that stuff please be careful!)
She has your typical fakie hair and acrylic eyes.

She is so amazing!! I've never seen a fakie I've wanted this much.

Also I've heard that exact recording before. I wish I could remember what it was. Either some random toy horse I squeezed at Walmart to hear the noise, or those horse heads on a stick kids ride around that we used to sell where I worked last year.

The piece of music is the William Tell Overture :D, I initially thought it was the bonanza theme lol.
