Fakie - General Discussion Thread

These two are my most recent acquisitions.

I'm not the biggest fan of pink, but they were both so small and cute (that's a quarter in between them, for scale) that I couldn't resist.

The one on the left is a Remco fakie (I had a few genuine ones when I was younger). She's got a genuinely sweet face, although those airbrushed bluish spots on her wings make it look like she's got poor blood circulation.

The one on the right (whose hair was wet when this photo was taken) has definitely had a haircut, but it actually looks good on her. It gives her a spunky, impish look that complements her expression.

Aww they're so cute! I especially like the pink one. You're right her haircut does compliment her expression.

I’m not sure if I’m late to the party on this but I found these at the dollar tree today. I never find any good dollar store fakies in my town so I was pretty excited! I posted a size comparison pic for anyone interested, these were the only 2 sets they had. the first pack kinda reminds me of sundance and bowtie

I think my favorite thing about the arena is even though some things are not my cup of tea (like fakies) they still have a place where they are loved by someone and enjoyed. I started on the first page and scrolled down reading and looking on and got almost a chill. Very sweet. Its makes me sad to know that some toys get thrown away because they are not liked by the current owner rather than being traded or given to a new home. Always makes me happy to see that's not true on the arena.

that's why I really try not be dismissive of toys and things in general that I may not find personally appealing, cuz I know at the end of the day there's someone out there who will love it and be happy to have it in their collection

Baby Mischief, that "Pony Tails" Lanard is sooooooooooo so pretty!!!! She reminds me of my favorite G3, Midnight Dream!

It's been a while since I've "pony-ed out," so not very many new ponies or fakies from me, sadly. I'm excited to see this thread still going. I did get a new CPK pony that I may be able to show off soon, though it will be a while.

Hi all!

I've been going throught all the posts here, and I've seen some super cool fakies I didn't know that existed and have fallen in love with all the Takara babies shown.

But I need your help. This pony isn't mine, I saw it in a Flickr gallery and asked the owner if she could give me some more information, but she doesn't have any. So I'm asking you! ^^

Can you tell me anything about this pony?

I can't help you LadyPinwheel, but I love her! She is beautiful!

I've told a few before, but my very first colourful plastic ponies were Jaru fakies, I got them when I was 4 at Christmas. Most of my ponies when I was young were fakies, hence my love for them. A few years ago I went to my mothers to sort out some stuff, at the same time she had a family friend staying there with her little girl as their house had burnt down. The little girl had nothing left, and she followed me everywhere (it was adorable). When I started going through my old toys she lit up when she saw the fakies and started playing with them, and seeing someone else enjoy them as much as I did when I was little, I gave her the whole box of them and she was thrilled I was so happy to see them being loved by another and going on adventures. I only kept my actual MLP ponies and my walking Barbie horse.

Recently, I've gotten back into MLP and my fakie love has reignited, I adore them and their oddness just as much as I adore MLP, plus many make me laugh and smile

Also, I actually got some fakies in the post today from Blue Rose, an I adore them! I am so excited to finally own a Totsy, Tara fakies, Remco's, a Buddy L, a fake Buddy L and a frumpet! I love them all and am so happy to have them in my fakie herd <3 <3

Lady Frumpet, my crumpet fakie girl. This lovely needs a bit more hair though, she has a bald spot! lol
