Terribly messy hair on BAB Rainbow Dash!

My two friends bought me a Build a bear Rainbow Dash for my birthday, but her hair is really bugging me. Normally I will hold a pony spa once I get a new pony (second hand or straight from the shelf) to smooth out their frizzy/overly curly hair. But what do I do with a soft toy?

Her label says 'Hand wash surface only'... Does that mean I can't get her wet? (I dont think i can wash her hair without getting her wet so...)

I'm kinda at a loss of what to do...

I let my daughter use hair detangling spray with hers. It does  great with hers.

Wash her upside down, a little wetness won't hurt her...

I've seen people successfully use hair straighteners on the lowest settings (though your mileage may vary). I think I'm going to have to trim off the bottom of mine's tail (the orange is especially tangly!) and give it a wash with a tiny amount of conditioner. A bit of water won't hurt her If you got her completely soaking wet she'd probably dry in a funny shape but some dampness won't be a problem I'm sure.

Getting her a little damp around the edges is not going to do her any harm. So I would be careful and perhaps wash and dry her hair upside down.

I brushed mine as well as I could (be gentle with the BABs because their hair seems to come out easily) then wet my hands and ran my fingers through to straighten it. It seemed to work.

The only thing is, you don't want to submerge her. If the stuffing inside gets wet, she could mildew, and that's not good. I don't think a hair wash with a little sprinkling would hurt her, though.

Dosen't hand wash only just mean don't put her n a washing machine or dryer??
I wouldnt submerger her in water only cause it will take a long time to dry out.

I tried to put some conditioner in my Pinkie's hair to help it unfrizz, but it didn't work super well. I think it might be because of her curly hair. I got some of her head (mostly ears) wet in the process, and she's fine.

I ended up cutting the lower (blue and purple) part of Dash's mane because it's more accurate/looks nicer, and it was tangled. For some reason, that lower part tangled a lot compared to the rest of it.
