Best way to sell the last of my collection?
« on: August 02, 2013, 09:54:36 PM »
So I've had my collection up for sale for a couple years now, selling it piece by piece. I have just about a half a box left, and there doesn't seem to be much interest in buying the last of what I've got, even though I think there are some really nice ponies left in there--What's the best way to sell the rest of them? Should I do a whole group on eBay, or do several smaller groups? What have you done that has had success? Thanks in advance :)

If you just want to get rid of them, I would do one group on eBay. Just start it at a price you're comfortable with, or set a reserve.

You would obviously (in general) make more with individual sales, or smaller groups.

A couple of small lots, maybe grouped by theme or condition?  That might be a middle road to get a little more $ but not a whole lot of work.  You might cruise Ebay and see how some of the lots are sized and what they go for.

For shipping I always think smaller lots are a great idea - sometimes a scary high shipping price, even for a lot of good ponies, can put people off. Also you will find more people have a middle range price to spend than a higher price - so smaller, less expensive lots are usually more popular than one large lot.
