I love physical books, I'll never get rid of my beloved books! In fact I don't have an e-reader yet, though I am in no way opposed to having one, it just wouldn't ever take the place of real books. I am not entierly sure what my bookcase says about me, I have too many books to list here, but I own a mixture of of childrens books, classics and non-fiction (mosty concerning architecture and design).

As an example, all the books on the middle shelf are: 6 books by Roddy Doyle, RSPB Pocket Bird Guide, Blitzcat -Robert Westall, Neverwhere -Neil Gaiman, Which Witch and The Secret of Platform 13 -Eva Ibbotson, Catch 22 -Joseph Heller, The Alchemist and The Witch of Portobello -Paulo Coelho, 3 books by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Mort --Terry Pratchett, 2 Moomin books by Tove Jansson, The Falls -Joyce Carol Oates, Heart of Darkness -Joseph Conrad, The Bell Jar -Sylvia Plath, On The Road -Jack Kerouac, LOTR Trilogy, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glassl, The Narnia Chronicles, Where Angels Fear To Tread -E.M. Forster, Ulysses -James Joyce, Great House -Nicole Krauss.

Ebooks are fine, I've got a few. Several from a small publisher, that are tricky to find in paperback. Plus there handy to haul around. However nothing will ever beat, holding a book. Turning the pages, feeling the weight.

I'm an avid bibliophile. My "favorite's shelf has:
Dean Koontz
Lucia St Clare Robson (Ride The Wind)
Lord Of The Rings series
A Song Of Ice And Fire series
Mercy Thompson series
First People series

Most of my books relate to my double majors (cultural anthropology and Native American studies). Or one of my hobbies (bikes, basketry), animals, travel.

When I have free spending money it almost always goes to books.

I love book - real books with real pages =)
Since I write my own novels I love them even more.
I'm not into ebooks and I don't care to drag 5 kg real books in my luggage with me to my vacation lol

I prefer Fantasy (also urban) & Paranormal Romance storys but I also like to read crime fiction from time to time =)

I think I own just about 100 books - that's not too much =)

I got an ebook reader last Christmas, and I haven't even read on it. I love to buy books, especially second hand.
But I have no idea what my books say about me. Maybe that I'm a crazy collector because I can't get ridof anything.

I work in both a library and the National Centre for Children's Books.

The fact that the thread was asking "Do you still have any?" was a bit of a shock to me... whaddaya mean *still*?! I dread the day when my library has only kindles on the shelves!!  :freak: :dropjaw:

I love books and have approximately 300 in my living room. They range from my interests in history through travel, biology, art, music, politics, philosophy, fostering and a 'small' number of miscellaneous novels. I also have a few craft magazines, graphic novels and professional journals.

I don't have any kind of e-reader, but perhaps I will in the future.

EDIT- I think I may visit little fox's library- you have some great books there!!

I'm not a big reader these days, so I don't have many books. The only books I have at the moment are bird field guides and a book on cranes. I guess that reveals I'm a huge bird nerd. ;)

I own some books that I doubt are available on e-book (Mostly Japanese sociology/history books). But really, when it comes to books I prefer a physical thing.

But, manga.. ugh, I prefer to get something that works on my kindle, because they take up too much room.

I have tons of books.  Tons.  I like e-readers, but a book is much more of an actual experience.

I think our collection would say nerdy, lol. And liking childhood books. Hubby has the full Wheel of Time, lots of Stephen King, and is working on Dragonlance.

I am working on the entire Baby-Sitter's Club (plus all the extra series', including Little Sister), and VC Andrews. Plus I have all my childhood books.

And we're almost finished the entire Animorphs series (only... 8 books left, I think).

oh, do I have books...

Here's one set of shelves in my house:

(sorry for how disorganized it is, we never really recovered from our flood. Behind me is several cardboard boxes of books that are higher than I'm tall)

Every room in my house, even the bathrooms, has books and shelves in it.

Here's my physical to-read piles:

Unfortunately, my hands seem to be getting weaker as I get older which I think is related to how much typing I do every day. I'm gonna be seeing a physio guy, but except when the comic urge gets too strong, it's easier on me to read my books on my really light little ipod, where I have kindle, nook, sony ebook, kobo, and iBook accounts.

I'm not sure what you'll get from my book collection besides poor impulse control, but I'm going to update everyone on my 100 books summer challenge: I head into the 70s today.

Do you like comics? Raina Telgemeier's adaptation is really good! And her art is delightful. You can see some of her comics on my pile.

I have three full bookcases in my room :P One tall five shelf case, a two shelf case, and a three shelf case :) I just looooove used book sales. My local.library has one every weekend :) On the five shelf case I have books stacked horizontally and then vertically in the shelves as well! Double the space.... but it makes it harder to see the books in the back lol. I also have a Kindle Paper white :) I like ebooks because they are sometimes cheaper than searching high and low for a recently priced paperback :) They are also great for reading giganto books like Stephen King novels :PP

E-readers are not very common here, for which I am thankful!
I am a total Bibliophile, I have hundreds of books. My next flat has to have room for the library!
As for titles, um, what I can see right now is some of my graphic novels, a few Ngaio Marsh etc. A LOT of books!

Oh god, I know. When Harry Potter was still new and shiny, I would read books in bed and my hands would suddenly lose their grip and the Order of the Phoenix almost broke my nose.

I'm working on my BSC collection too, but half of it is in Florida! I'm sooo close to finishing it.  I just need the Chain Letter, etc ones. I don't like Little Sister.

What Animorphs books do you need, PM me, because I have a few I could send you.

E-books are great for things I'm going to read to pieces. Like I read A Little Princess all the time, and my original childhood copy is falling apart. But I have this amazing copy of it from the 20's with beautiful illustrations on my tablet to read over and over.

I need to donate books again lol. I have no shelves of books because ponies and monster high take up all my shelves. So i have piles of books on my bedroom floor xD. almost all of the books i read are fantasy. I love escaping to new worlds and ways of life.

I also like a good mystery/detective/thriller book. xD iv fallen in love with Alex Delaware novels by Jonathan Kellerman, and Clive Cusslers hero Dirk Pitt

i think iv only read one book on my moms ereader lol, i also prefer an actual book in my hands :p
