This is my new custom for sale, my Tree Nymph Pony.
I was surprised that I hadn't done any elementals yet, so that was the primary inspiration for making this pony. I like Greek mythology's tales of nymphs--live creatures--representing the different elements.
So much work went into this lady, so here's a brief description:
I bought the base airbrushed green by BarbedDragon. Thanks again for a beautiful base!
The trunk and branches are reinforced with wire, and sculpted over with bake-clay and shaped. The leaves were then cut out and shaped individually and added on before baking. Each leaf has veining cut into it as well, and is shaped to look like they are blowing in the wind to the left, with the branches. Leaves on the forehead are the same.
After baking, everything was painted a basic brown or green, then sponged on top with different shades for texture and dimension.
Eyes are green fading into black, with subtle green eyelashes. Finally, the tail and mane are rehaired with 5 shades brown curly thick hair. I gave her SO MUCH HAIR so that she'll look really exotic and wild, untamed. There's at least a foot of hair on her mane.
