Melbourne and Brisbane Ponies?

I'm down in Melbourne for the week and was wondering if any of the markets are good for pony hunting?
Also, I live in Brisbane but don't know many second hand markets. Can anyone suggest places that are good pony hunting spots?
Or is Australia pretty bleak when it comes to hunting vintage ponies? I've never had any luck that's for sure.

I am a brissy girl too, but I don't find much really, even my toy dealer friend has dried up on ponies - he resells them to me for $4 per pony, so he still makes $$ but I get ponies cheaper than buying online. He hasn't had anything for a couple of months. My MIL gets some here and there, mostly g3 ponyville and g4 lately though, but I have no idea where she finds them! The fakies seem to be everywhere at the moment though! What area are you from? I'm north side, and I ain't finding much lately at all.

I'm southside. I've only ever found a handful of G3s while thrifting and gumtree is full of G3 and fakies. I basically buy exclusively online but dream of the day I find a G1 in person, even if it's the most baity thing ever I think I'll have to buy it lol

There are some g1's occasionally here in the antique shops (I'm in Newcastle) but only the really common ones. I always end up buying online but it would be nice to find some here for a change!

It's very bleak here, although I'm in a country town.

Brisbane dried up some years ago. I used to scour the Salvos. It was easier for me cause for a time I was living around Butterfield Street and if I am not wrong there was a Salvos close-by?  Or was that Red  Hill? Anyway, hit the Salvos regularly and you may get lucky. I know people had found TAF babies there before.

I've only been able to find G3's in Gladseville (Bubblecup) and up at Forster (Scootaloo & Pinkie Pie)

I'm on the west side of Melbourne and have only ever been able to find a few G3s in Salvos stores.

I used to volunteer at the salvos and got myself some good contacts, but they've all left now, so I'm going to have to find some new hunting helpers, lol. I only got 5 MLP's out of it anyway, and they were all g3. Salvos are pretty dry around here! I got an awesome 36 G1 gumtree haul last year, was pretty awesome, so keep your eyes peeled - there's a show stable on there at the moment, but it's pretty pricey. I also find a lot of G3 merch on gumtree, I got my sweetiebelle PJ pal for $10 a few streets down a few weeks ago, I barely needed to take the car! I always have a look at the second hand stores around me, but I very rarely come up with anything!
