I think I'll probably try to answer all the questions so I don't miss anything so if my answer is totally irrelevant just ignore it. lol

I'd much prefer dark and spooky than cutesy.
Of those colors I'd choose dark red.

Partners, how do you feel about bases/external accessories?  How important is it to you that pieces are removable (for example masks, clothing, shoes, hair pins, etc)

That's always a good idea because you partner may be wondering the same thing that someone else asked!

External bases and accessories are fine with me and pieces can be removable or not, whichever works best for my partner!

I prefer kind of spooky over cutesy, generally. Cute has its place, and I have some cute halloween ponies, but I like the kind of gothic romantic darker halloween stuff.

Of those colors - dark purple!

I'm actually not a huge fan of removable accessories because they are so hard to get just right! I [refer things sculpted right on the pony TBH. I love the idea of custom bases

Removable accessories are neat, bases... eh. It depends on how big it is. If a base is a must, a small one is better than a big one. I don't have a lot of room.

I'm fine with either with a lean towards the pony becoming the character rather than a scene on the pony.

bases: if you truly feel it will make the custom shine even more. otherwise, spend your time on the custom. I don't have any with bases, but I'm not opposed if it's awesome
accessories: even if they are removable, I probably won't remove them

*Cute & Whimsical or Dark & Spooky? : honestly either way works for me, im kind of leaning toward spooky and darkish, but I had plenty of ideas listed on both sides of the fence, so I honestly don't mind either way. lol the fact that I find dark and spooky occasionally cute doesn't help =P

*color preference~ Dark Purple, Dark Blue, Dark Red, or Black?: lol im not much help on this one, a nice dark purple or a black would be cool, but I also love dark reds and burgundies as long as theyre not super rusty looking. and most blues are nice, so... um... interpret as you will =P

*Bases/External accessories? :bases are kinda nifty but not required at all, and I agree on the keeping it on the smaller side, cause I only have one shelf in the display case for customs atm, so I have limited space to work with. external accessories: I think they can add a  lot of 'spice' to a character as long as theyre not gaudy and go with the theme/character. again, not required tho. =]

*how important is it to you to have accessories etc be removable?: not important even a little bit. if you want to sculpt it on there permanently that's fine with me, heck ive found that stuff sculpted on seems more fluid and proportional than trying to make it removable. half the time it comes out lumpy or clunky with catches and snaps etc. so I leave it to you partner. do what you think looks best!

*preference- a pony that is a character like a witch or pony ive mentioned liking, or a pony that's a scene?: either way is fine by me. if you have an interesting idea run with it. I think most of my ideas I listed were a 'pony as' types, but if you think of a cool scene that's fine =]



and my question: I have a couple ideas im mulling over since my initial ones got shot in the foot one of which ~might~ involve a Styling Size... which leads me to...

Spooky v/s cute: Ah! I can't decide. I like 'em both.

Color: Dark Blue

Bases/accessories: Either way, as you like. Even if accessories are removeable, I probably won't take them off. Space is a bit tight. But I'm pretty sure this isn't a question for me.

Scene v/s character: Whatever you're inspired to do!

Styling size: Sure!

Bases/accessories: It really just depends on what looks best with the custom. Either is fine.

*Bases/External accessories? Pretty much the same with me, I have limited room and bases are cool. I tend to make bases or something else that stands out, but you don't have to make it!
