The first thing that comes to my mind would be something Japanese, well, because that what most of the Japanese "lore" is about ghost that haunt stuff.. let me toss out some random brainstorm ideas..
"Kodama" is a spirit from Japanese folklore, which is believed to live in certain trees (similar to the Dryad of Greek mythology).
"Aokigahara" is a haunted forest in Japan.. kinda dark story behind it
"Kijimuna" is a tree spirit.. supposed to have red hair though..
"Uma-no-ashi" - A horse's leg which dangles from a tree and kicks passersby.
A will-o'-the-wisp or ignis fatuus are atmospheric ghost lights seen by travellers at night - so maybe "Will O'Wisp", "Whispy" or the pun-tastic "Willow Wisp" or "Whisper"
"Phantom" or "Phantasm" maybe?
Maybe something mentioned here will spark someone to come up with some more ideas.. because this is harder than I thought it would be, lol
