'Manimal' and 'Automan' were very cheesy from what I recall. Blake's 7 was a fave prog when I was a child, although it ends abruptly! I still have my 'Buck Rogers' viewmaster reel!

I love quantum leap. There's nothing cheesy when it comes to Scott Bakula...

We've already covered Greatest American Hero ... Moonlighting was kinda cheesy (crime), as was Small Wonder (small robot girl lives with family and hilarity ensues.)  I think Quantum Leap is quite good and not cheesy at all.

You must, must, must watch Twin Peaks, though.  Must.

Its not 80s more 90s...but for Sci Fi, I loved Babylon 5 :) It was a proper cult show for a while and still is of course.

I've watched through Quantum Leap at least four times and I love it!  Now that I think about it, I shouldn't have filed it under cheesy. :P

I must have watched a LOT of inappropriate TV shows when I was a kid, because I have seen EVERY series that everyone has mentioned! Wow, I need to get out more! Let's seeee what hasn't been mentioned?.. Ah I know. 80's? Check. Sci Fi? Check. Cheesy? Double check.
Look up Ulysses 31.
 One of my favorite shows as a little girl. I think it gave me a weird leaning towards pointy eared blue aliens... :blush:
OH, I don't think anyone has mentioned Alien Nation either. My mom and I watched that one together along with Beauty and the Beast. Well, most of these shows actually. XD
