Thanks guys! To be honest, I've never seen a Baby Princess Sparkle who's hair was completely unfaded (so, basically as PINK as she is), and it's a bit hard for me to get used to, seeing that Pussycat pink as being the proper hair color for all of our favorite "fading pink" hair ponies, lol... The pink tinsel in her hair looks like it's photographing a bit red, but it's pink. the issue is the tinsel is the prism kind, not the plain shiny kind, which is what I wanted, but my Jo-Ann's only had gold like that, no blue or pink of any kind...

Obviously I haven't cut her hair yet either, I don't plan on leaving it a mile long, haha

Sunshine its really looking good! Im going to do a BPS Bushwoolie soon and got the tinsel from Jo anns too just like your colors, lol, great minds think a like.
For the glitter I would look into scrapbooking embossing glitter too. It comes in many shades. Its easy to use. I can show you some embossing workings in St. Louis if you want.  You can melt it on to the pony and scrap it off if you make a mistake. When I say melt I don't mean melt the plastic its just the glitter base that melts to bond to the pony.
Glitter for everyone! :fireworks:

Ah Sunshine I'm so glad you got her!  I was totally watching this lot before the fair but decided against it in an effort to save money. I'm really happy you were able to get the glitter off so well, and that hair is just darling on her! I think you should still keep it semi-long, it looks so pretty as is! I know what you mean though, my TAF Up up and away has really pink hair and it just looks odd to me.

I'd definitely be interested in buying her if youre not planning on keeping her for yourself  ^.^

I will probably rehome her Rhini, once I get her glitter fixed, but I can bring her to the STL meet with me! Tiff maybe you can show me that glitter, or perhaps I will have been brave enough to try something before hand, but either way.

Also, I do think it's a good idea leaving her hair a little longer, but, this length is unmanageable, she almost reminds me of Barbie, like, she probably couldn't hold her little pony head up if she had truly that much hair! :haha:

Yeah! I'd love to see her in person!  That reminds me of this girl who did a rapunzel cosplay, she made herself a giant wig and she said she could barely hold her head up by the end of the day

When I find time I may play around with some fakies to emboss. Im not at all wonderful at recreating symbols but it will give you a idea of what Im talking about. I will post some pictures of one when I do one. Ive been meaning to for a while now.

She's looking great Sunshine!

I have used micro-glitter before for touch-ups. I believe you can find it almost anywhere with a quick search. I usually buy mine from a gentleman on Ebay, whom I have bought from for years.  I have also used what Tiff has (embossing glitter). There is actually less mess with that but it's not as sparkly in my opinion as using regular glitter. Again, that is just my opinion and I am sure whatever you use she will look fantastic.

P.S. if you want the gentleman's name from Ebay just PM me. He always adds a nice little sample of his other products when you purchase.

HaHaHaHaHa........... You're the one who outbid at the last minute. LOL That's too funny, I'm glad that you did though. You did her much more justice than I ever could have with my skills at the moment  I just want her so bad & I thought I could hold onto her until I got better  Glad I didn't & you got her. She's beautiful.

I agree with ponylady you need micro glitter - a great option is nail dust glitter; this kind of product http://www.nsinails.co.uk/content/sparkling_glitter

The key is ensuring you have a slight silver base to the glitter - if you use nail dust then it usually already has this kind of base, sometimes with some craft glitters you need to mix a small amount of silver glitter in.

Neither option is as fine as the original but they come close.

Thanks everyone! Does anyone know like a brand? I remember at Hobby Lobby I see "Martha Stewart" Microfine glitter but it's really expensive... are there other places I can find this glitter?

Also, I was wondering about the body glitter they sell for those "glitter temporary tattoos" you can get, that looks like it's super fine.

And one more thing - silver base? Why is this? I am a bit confused -?

A lot of the nail dust ones are pretty generic and seem to be the same product just repackaged by someone else. I just find dont by the super expensive options and dont by the cheap ones - I nice middle of the road item is good.

Do you have any baity ponies with glitter symbols - if you do hold it up close and gently flake off some of the glitter; you will see that mixed in with whatever colour it is will be a small amount of silver. If you just put glitter on which is all one colour without including silver then it can end up looking almost matt sometimes. Some glitters, such as the nail dust I linked to, already has a silver mixed through the colour. But other micro glitters may not have this hence the need to add it.

Most of the glitters sold in hobby shops are too large to match well.  I've been thinking about picking up some of this stuff since it looks like a potentially good match, but never got around to it.

Nice! Well I will definitely have to think about ordering some of this glitter once I get back from my trip...

I really appreciate all the advice! But how do I apply the glitter - like using a paintbrush and tacky glue or something like that? :)
