What base colour will brighten this colour? Coral Reef?
« on: June 30, 2013, 10:51:28 AM »
Hey everyone :)
I was looking through my hair to see what colours I had and to try to match them up with a pony base colour.
I came across 'Coral Reef'. It's a custompony colour and it's a sort of dull pink, almost a brownish colour.
I am at a complete loss as to what base colour I should paint the pony I hair with this  :what:
If I pair it with pink, it'll look dull.
Any ideas?

Edit:
This is the closest colour I've found so far, and it isn't an exact match (I think the hair is a bit darker). Wikipedia calls it 'Congo Pink'

I may not be understanding 100% what you're asking, but that color would look nice with a soft or pastel yellow. You could do something warm and summery.

That's probably because I'm useless at explaining things
But don't worry, I think you understood what I was trying (in a very poor way) to ask.
On it's own the colour looks dull and brownish. It's not the nicest shade in the world. So I was looking for a colour that would make it look brighter. Yellow is actually a very good idea, and a colour I wouldn't have thought of. I'll see if I can come up with a symbol idea for yellow and pink.
Thank you!  :)

I think this color would look fabulous with a  turquoise pony.  Very summery looking for sure!

Ooh, turquoise would look great! Or some bright blue. Those would really brighten it up and create a summery feel.

Or, if you want to go for a different theme, I think it would also look great in combination with a chocolatey brown, and maybe some lighter pink or creamy white highlights. :)
