Rehairing dolls with yarn

Can you rehair a Kelly Barbie doll with yarn and brush it out to make it like a perfume puff? I've heard that people do that with ponies but I wasn't sure if a doll head would hold up?

Basically any info on rehairing with yarn or something else (?) that would make a fuzzy look? I saw a picture of a pretty I think a fairy doll that had this style and I can't for the life of me find it again for reference...

Yes, you can.  It's the same process of rerooting.

I don't rehair with yarn (because i'm lazy) but i do make yarn wigs for various dolls. I straighten my yarn though so it goes soft and silky. you could just as easily leave it fluffy though. You also might want to consider mohair. Mohair wigs have a lovely fluffy look to them.
