Great job! Keep an eye on Gingerbread, she can burn / get discoloured in the sun. I managed to sunfade some spots off mine but her colour that had been exposed to the sun changed a bit to a not so white shade. Managed to save her before it got worse.

It need to be your judgement call on using cream. I am someone who doesnt like using it and would advice against it. But there are plenty of people who speak and have evidence of it working well for them on white ponies. Its a bit of a love/hate thing to be honest. As much as I am uncomfortable offering the advice to use it, I do think you will run into fewer problems using cream on Gingerbread than you will sunfading her. It would be better for her to yellow with time than turn ugly brown splotches.

She already has a large brown splotch on her belly- some substance I had to scrape off that left a stain behind.  I suspect that will take cream whitening anyway

Have you tried a magic eraser first? Perhaps that will help.
