Blue Hearts DazzleGlow and Pink Hearts DazzleGlow

Hi,

I know there's a blue hearts version of Dazzleglow and pink hearts version. Were both versions sold in the US or was one sold in other countries?

Both versions were sold in the US - the other countries did not get the Blue-Hearts Version.

another interesting thing about her is sometimes the blue part was curly.

Yes we only got the pink hearted version this side of the pond*. Remember we are traditionally behind the US in releases. So what happens is the US gets the blue hearts version. Then there is a further production run which creates the pink heart version. This is released in the US and then at the same time this is around when packaging production starts for outside the US. Therefore packing production for Euro start after the blue hearts version is no longer being produced and we "miss" the release.

Its similar in some ways to the current G4 line - like how in the UK we start on wave 3 of the blind bags because by the time the blind bag waves reach the UK production is on to wave 3 and we miss wave 1 and wave 2.

*I should comment on a little condition on this that there once was supposedly a blue heart Dazzle found on a Euro card - however I believe to date it is only the one and is probably simply explained by a random batch packaged later or even a short Euro run done early in order to tempt the market.

I think the blue hearts one was planned.. My US backcard shows her with blue hearts instead of pink

Yup - she's in the Glow 'n Show commercial too. They probably switched it halfway through the run because the pink hearts were cheaper or something.

Hmm, interesting. Maybe they just changed her for consistency, or just ran out of blue materials.

i think it depends on factories, and like mentioned it was probably cheaper for them to do pink.

There's also versions of dazzleglow that have blue hair instead of the aqua color.. Also sometimes you can find dazzleglow with a purple-dark purple body and then also magenta/pink body.

I have about 6 of her, and none are the same.. I am bringing some to the pony fair this year to maybe sell.. I haven't decided yet

I love the blue hearts version. It's interesting to hear that they might have been the first run version or maybe a mistake.

Dazzleglow is my favorite pony! Both versions I had were vastly different. The first one I had the pink hearts. And she was hard as a rock :/ she was also VERY pink and had blue hair. She was also pretty solid not transparent at all.My current girl is the blue hearts version. She's mauve/ purplish color and more transparent. Her plastic is really squishy ( so much her horn droops) and she has turquoise hair. If I wasn't on my phone I would try to find a picture someone posted to the arena awhile back. It had a bunch of Dazzleglow lined up together..all different!
