Yes definitely. Check out this link and scroll
to rainbow ponies. I think they produced the oddballs from the groups of ponies pictured together probably
at the end of the first year rainbow release as a second mini release like was suggested.

My theory is that regardless of what symbol they have they were mini modified re-releases of the first year rainbow ponies.
I theorize that something could have happened to the stamps for the symbols of parasol and sunlight so they went with bowtie and cc symbols for both instead.

None of this made sense before because we didn't have a skydancer for the set.  But I was looking at the US pamphlet photos I had an AHA moment.

Sunlight. We have suntie which has bowties symbols but most resembles sunlight.

Skydancer. We now have seadancer.

Moonstone. I recall a french moonstone in the gallery that had a different color body than the normal french release.

Parasol. Released with Parasol's body and eyes but with blue hair and bowties and cotton candys symbols

Starshine. We have Gloryshine.

Windy. Comes with lilac and dark purple hair

It could have been something similar to the princess variants where they were using up the "remnants" in the factory.

Moonstone ~ there is one with reverse coloured symbols and if memory serves me right there is one with white and blue paint instead of the the blue and silver paint.

Starshine ~ coral coloured stripe instead of pink stripe

Skydancer ~ coral coloured stripe instead of pink stripe

Windy ~ blue body of moonstone with moonstones magenta eyes, but windy's symbols

It's all a mystery.
We dont know when the coral hair versions were released. They could have been different batches from the first release.

It is a bit of a mystery, it seems with the French rainbow ponies the closer you look, the more you see

I have a pink stripe Starshine MOC but I don't get any clue from it

I haven't been home to check her card yet. I wanted to check the year though and the blurb on the back

I have been thinking about the odd haired French ponies and there is a glory with a blue tail as well

She would have been a weird pony to have even been a rehair as she has that extra small line of plugs where here pink stripe is (on a rainbow, where there should have been two identical length rows) , so that should have pointed her out as odd anyway. I think she looks great and eagle eyes nhal wow! Nice pic of her and Gloryshine together

I confirm for the reversed symbol moonstone and the white symbol moonstone (although I can't show any picture as I don't own them).

It's so exciting, all these nex variants popping up !!!

SO! finally I have my MOC French Starshine in front of me.

Her card is French and Dutch and at the bottom it says "Made in France for Unica - Kortijk/Heule/Belgium and Otto Simon - Almelo/Holland EN 27"
