A/C is the only way to go. I absolutely hate humidity which we get a lot of in Wisconsin. Even though it is summer, I am really missing my house in Arizona right now!

Just be thankful you're in Wisconsin, and not Florida!  Being a native of the former, I'd give anything to be back in Wisconsin versus Florida!  The humidity in WI can be bad but goodness, in Florida?  Gross.

Besides that, I had a lot of pony buddies up there!

Whereabouts are you living?  I'm originally from south Wisconsin, near Madison.  :3

Good idea for a topic!
That's one thing I just love about my city in the South of China. AC everywhere! I'll be heading home next week to Germany, and I can only hope the summer won't be too hot as they don't have AC.
I also use a hand fan to fan some air to my face, really helps! And I don't drink ice cold stuff, lukewarm water or tea helps me cool my body much better. Eating lots of fruit with water in it is good too, watermelon, dragon fruit, cucumbers, ... No too heavy meals.
Is summer in China super humid? I'd love to go to China someday and spending a summer in Tokyo (twice,) living (and cosplaying) in the desert climate of Los Angeles, and doing summer charity work in Mexico has made me immune to heat.

In the summer I found AC was harder to find in tourist areas of Japan but vending machines for cold drinks were everywhere and in shopping areas there's usually someone handing out uchiwa fans with ads printed on them for free. Thankfully my office building  in Shinjuku where I interned overkilled on AC and had a cheap in-office vending machine so I'd leave freezing.

Well, China is a huge country with different climatic zones. I'm in the province Canton, near Hong Kong, and it's incredibly humid here. At the moment it rains on a daily basis with temperatures around 30-33 degrees C.
Autumns however are wonderful, warm and dry.

I really like the heat! The only time it becomes unbearable is when I'm about to go to sleep and I've been outside in it for awhile. Pennsylvania summer heat is always humid.
We have several air conditioners around the house, including one in my room. Before we put the air conditioners in each summer I usually keep my window partway open to let a little breeze in.

I love swimming, but I don't go to the pool as often as I would like. Way too crowded. So I will stick to my popsicles.

I have AC but sometimes can't afford to keep it as cool as I'd like. If/when that happens, in the heat of the day we use a heavy duty fan that a carpenter might use. That thing is strong! We also have a couple of ocsillating fans.

Shockponie- it's a dry heat though!

(I always laugh at this, because even though it is a dry heat, if it's 100, it's still hot).

Haha, I sympathize with people in humid climates because it really is nasty. Still, Saturday will be 118. Hot is hot. I truely believe homeless people lose their minds in this sun.

Central air conditioning.  Upstairs in my office I have an extra window unit going when I'm working.  It gets hot enough to cure Fimo up there!  O.o  We also eat lots of watermelon.

It's funny, I get too cold at work.  I usually have to put on a sweater and arm warmers and a blanket to be comfortable!

Lots of cold water, cold showers, and if I'm actually at home, I hide in a subterranean lair.

Basement, basement, basement.

I'm lucky enough to work in an air-conditioned place, but at home, it's subterranea for us.

Outside, we have these neck-cooling wraps (look like bandannas, filled with water-soakable crystals) to keep cooler than normal.

Good luck to you, CottonTALE, and all other ponyfolk in this current heat wave - it's so much easier to get warm when it's cold than vice-versa (which is why winter will always win for me over summer! :snow:).

Wishlist - I'm back on (semi-) active buying again... can't buy everything on my wish list all at once (yay, back-to-school and tuition fees), but I am still looking to plump up my collection a bit more: http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,380638.0.html

Remember last summer's heatwave? I used all these ideas and I'm still not sure I actually survived it, or this past year has been my dying hallucination. God, that was hot.

One of the things that drives me nuts about this weather is that it's causing my custom ponies to get all icky.
