Customize G1 Satin Slipper Sweet shoppe?

Does anyone customize bad shape G1 playsets? I was just wondering because I have a Sweet Shoppe that is badly yellowed. It has it's pink bow handle. I'm in Canada and I'm willing to give it away, just pay shipping. I thought I would offer it here before it gets donated. I can get pics to anyone interested.

I'll customise a Paradise Estate with my hubby in the future but don't have any experiences yet. I live in Germany so even shipping would be too much.

How much would shipping to Ireland be do you think? I'd not want it for custom, but it's somehing I've been after *forever* as I had it as a kid, and cannot find one I can afford anywhere!

Zoundz, I'll have to check on that postage for you. I will be able to get to the PO on Fri.

I've got a pic taken with no flash and it still looks much whiter than it actually is. When I say it's yellow, I mean Lemon Drop yellow and the pink floor has mostly turned orange. It has a few stickers left and has all the pink hearts in the front.

Honestly wouldn't bother me - if you saw the colour of some of our playsets! we take what we can get - we can't afford much as a rule, so if we can get something we *can* afford, then it doesn't matter too much what condition it's in. I have a feeling this would be stupidly expensive to post though - so I just hope it doesn't put you out to check how much it'd be for nothing! :/

Zoundz, hope u r sitting down.... the price sure did surpass stupid.. for the cheapest shipping method to Ireland... $78 US   

For shipping to the US- $36 US
For shipping to the west coast of Canada- $19 US

That said, I guess a Canadian would be getting the best deal anyone's going to get on this freebee!!

If you were to go off of what they say about this, you could probably restore it with some good air brushing and sealer! Just cover the parts you don't want painted with painter's tape or something.

Well - I think I can safely say I will never be buying from the US again, since the costs are frighteningly prohibitive! *sigh* It's getting to a point where I won't even be able to afford custom/pony swaps because of postage... it's like a fiver a pony!

I do think it's too hard to find to customise but of course it's your property and you can do what you like!.

Maybe put a thread for it in the sales forum and give it a couple of weeks; if you get no bites then customise it.

Alternatively, you could try to restore it to whiteness with hydrogen peroxide?

I don't know to be honest, I'd probably spend up to about €15 - but that's because I'm totally cashstrapped, and one day it'll probably turn up for that or less anyway. I don't even need it in great condition, I'm happy with stuff that's only OK or even baity as long as it's not completely screwed up.
