Haha! I got asked If I am Famous for My My Little Pony Collection.
I thought haha If only! I only have 86.


Has anyone elce gotten a question like that? Or strange comment?
How about a really unexpected reaction?

A family friend was in-state for work recently... My mom showed him my room and he loved my ponies. Said it had to be the biggest collection he'd ever seen. I've got a bookshelf of ponies and then a little spice rack full of G4s, so it's probably not quite the biggest.

I had to hold in a laugh 'Expert'? I've only been in the pony community for two or three years

Haha not with MLP, but when I was a kid I collected anime dvd's and my mom would often as me if I had 'collected them all' yet. It didn't matter how often I tried to explain that anime was a genre, not a series lol.

When I got my Build A Bear pony, I went with my best friend and our worker happened to be a brony.  So of course she and I discussed ponies.  Afterwards, my best friend and I went out to dinner and she was just staring and grinning and I finally had to ask her what?

And she was like,  "I've never seen you geek out like that on ponies!"

I told her that I don't bring it up with her because she's not into it.

My 5 year old neice's mom had her clean out her playroom of all the toys she didn't use anymore. In the group was her G4 wedding playset with all the pieces. She'd carefully set them all aside for me because, as she said, "Mommy wanted them to go to a child who'd play with them, and I know you like ponies!". I just about died from the cuteness!

I got asked at a convention once if I voiced Pinkie Pie in Fighting Is Magic! You know, that fanmade game? Haha, I thought about auditioning for it but never actually got around to it.

I'm always asked what the rarest MLP is and I usually start off by explaining popularity and ponies that were limited releases. I don't think I've ever finished a pony lecture yet, because most of the time I get cut off.

There's also the "how much money have you spent on a pony?" question and they are taken aback when I explain how my humble $45 Munchy really is very humble in comparison to other ponies out there. When I tell them about international releases hitting triple digits their eyes widen and they usually cuss in disbelief.

A friend's young daughters, who love ponies, came into my room once; of course, they wanted to play with the ponies, so I let them play with some.  I also collect Star Trek action figures, and the little girl gestured to them and said "Ah, I see you have some boy toys as well."  I thought it was cute.
