A little accessory help from an expert? :-)
« on: June 17, 2013, 08:00:51 AM »
I got 2 bags of mixed accessories from the fleamarket this sunday, and I've managed to price and identify most of them using the arena and the mlp wiki, but there are still a few odd ones out that I just can't find anywhere, so it'd be awesome if an expert could help me out with some of these ^^

The stacking toy with a green pole wasn't on the mlp wiki, is it from something specific? I also read somewhere that this rattle is from the German baby buggy? How much do these things go for?

Here's a big bunch of stuff that I'm pretty sure is mainly non mlp, I just wasn't sure about the bonnet and the little apron thing. They look a bit like the bonnet from the sweet dreams ponywear set and the from the baby buggy, but in different fabrics? Is this just coincidence or is it international mlp stuff? Does anyone have any idea about where the other stuff's come from? :)

I also have the sleep mask from the rock a bye bed, does anyone know how I should price it?

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me ^.^ All this stuff will be for sale when I've sorted out my new paypal, so if anyone wants anything, just contact me and I'll get back to you probably next month.

the stacking toy might be from a Remco pony set. They released a few different sets with reused Hasbro accessories. It was a great way to complete stacking toys with missing parts.

The silver crown thingy is from the Keypers baby pony.

and the winged saddle is from a dollar store set, like a pony in a clear plastic chest. Can't remember the name. Something like Sparkle ponies or Fairy ponies.

I see it... Can you see it too...?

I've bought the little stacking toy and the rattle from someone on the arena for a couple of dollars each-

That crown thing with the wings in the far right corner looks like it is from the "Jewel Riders" dolls- although I can't swear to it.

yes the rattle and little apron came with the Euro version of Baby Buggy so they are real MLP

Dludnerad is right about wings, they came with so called Chap Mei fakie ponies

The only other thing I recognize is the pink comb in the top middle, that is a fakie comb

That "apron" is the bonnet for Baby Cuddles (Buggy). I have that from childhood - I didn't know it was the Euro version though... But it makes sense - I live in Norway (and that is Europe ;) ).

I don't think that rattle is from the Buggy though - the Buggy had a purple rattle. At least mine did.

EDIT: Ok, just checked Dream Valley about the Buggy/apron/rattle - and it seems like the apron comes with the original version of the Buggy(pink with white polka dots) Dream Valley link: http://www.kimsites.net/dreamvalley/3rd_edition_accessories2.html#baby_buggy

Not sure if it might be a difference in the NBBE/BBE releases?

I knew I've seen that stacking toy with green base somewhere and that is because I had it myself  In these pictures it is with Baby Firefly and Baby Glory, but it originally came with my Fancy Pants baby Splashes. I have the China-version of baby Splashes from childhood (the one with pink hair and blue forelock). I think I read somewhere that the China version of Baby Splashes came with different colors on the stacking toy though, but mine came with the green base at least.

EDIT: Oh, and if anyone is interested - here is the China version of Baby Splashes - she is a sweetie :) Not my fav from childhood, so she still has her factory curls and pink hair. Very happy about that today!

The ring order and pole color are completely random within sets of Stacking toys. The colors you have there came with Fancy Pants Baby Ponies - either Dots 'n Hearts, Splashes or Starburst.

I think the roses comb, the rose barrette and the yellow and green hair scrunchies are for Lanard fakies.

That white hat with the lace and the ribbons is from one of the harder to find versions of the Sweet Dreams outfit.  It's usually found in Europe.   It's not common, but I do have a few sets with that hat, so it's not one of a kind either.

I'm pretty sure that the pink bottle in the second picture is a Barbie accessory. I had a ton of them just like it when I was a kid. :)

That purple ring on the stack toy is the colour that tells you it's a fancy pants baby's one :) Not sure on pricing for that though but the German rattle doesn't come up often and might be around $6-8 perhaps.

I thought it might be that too. I got one that looks like it with this Barbie:

*giggle* @ Sarah Bee :P

I think all the MLP questions are answered!

The rattle is a Euro release of the buggy - there was a reverse rattle for the Buggy and for the Lullabye Nursery in Europe. The pink and white bonnet is also from the buggy and the white cap is from the UK release of "Bedtime Wear".

Everything else, other than the FT stacker toy, is not MLP.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
