Also since the ones that are out now are early toys taken from the factory without permission, some might have been removed from the production line and sold before the resin/coating/whatever was put on the toy. So the actual toys sold in the store might have the protection that Galactica described, but Honeycomb's glitter comes off more easily.

They aren't taken without permission. That isn't how Taobao works. They are sold (By Hasbro) super cheap because they are factory flaws. Then sellers stick them on Taobao

Not sold by Hasbro - sold by the factories which manufacture for Hasbro. Hasbro actually contracts its manufacture to 3rd party factories like most multinational companies nowadays.

The factories do yes But Hasbro wont no Or at least they will be aware to an extent but its not a major focus for them and they wont know the exact how and where of the selling.

My sparkle Rainbow Dash came today!!!!! I have some errands to run right now, but I'll try to get pics up later today. I'm just glad I decided to put my errands off until after I watched MLP this morning. The mail came this morning at about 9:45. Then about an hour later the mail lady came back with my package and she needed me to sign for it. If I hadn't stayed home to watch ponies I would have missed her.

Are there are fair few of these popping up on TaoBao?  After glitter pinkie, and the Minty fiasco, I'm tentative to buy another pony before we see the numbers it's appearing in.

The seller that I bought mine from has not restocked and it's been almost 2 weeks. There were originally about 30 of each listed, I think, so the numbers on eBay aren't inconsistent with that number. That being said, I do think these will be released officially. So you'd just be buying them early. But based on current prices, you wouldn't be paying as much as you did for glitter pie or Minty B.

Take a good look at this picture. RD's right rear leg has some white residue(?)... maybe glue... inside the leg. Has anybody else gotten a G4 sparkle pony with something like this inside the pony?

Are we sure the glitter is not literally through the entire plastic batch? So it would of course appear to an extent on the surface but if we cut the pony in half [THEORETICALLY before anyone throws things at me] I wonder if the glitter would appear on the surface of the inside as well.

I popped Rd's head off to check this theory. There is no glitter IN the plastic. Her neck plug has no glitter on or in it at all.

Yep, I think those glue drops are quite common in them--most of my sparkle Dashie's (I had 5) have them in one place or another. TS's plastic is darker, so if she has them they are less noticible.

I doubt we'll see the playful pony size, those were make in 2010 but who really knows what goes on at Hasbro!!

I do have more hope that these FS ponies will be released since Twi is an alicorn
