My first ever bootsale find!

Went to a car boot sale for the first time last weekend and the pony luck was with me, my daughter and I were so excited to find this lot from one lady! Best part was that altogether it only cost me £6 (approx $9)

Lots of G3's which apparently I have to share with my daughter, some G2s and a baby Bow Tie for my Bow Tie army!!

I'm hooked and only hope I have this luck again!

Hmm hard to explain I guess.

It's not really like a flea market (I don't think) and not a yard sale.
It's where people fill their cars with things to sell from their house/attic and go to organised 'car boot sale' events, which are generally held in fields at the weekend. They then set up a table at the back of their car and unload the things they have to sell onto it. Then other people come along and see if there is anything they want to buy. So quite literally it is what it says - it's a sale from your car boot!!

a boot sale is usually also called a car boot sale where lots of people get all the stuff they don't want to sell online or give to chairty and essentially sell them out of the back of their cars (car boot = trunk in americanese) sounds dodgy and you can get some real junk in one but you can find some awesome stuff too. it's usually held in fields or in the carparks of schools etc. you usually have to pay an entrance fee of like 20p (about 40cents) to help pay for the rental of the venue. it's similar to a flea market. they are usually loud, exciting, pretty dusty and smells like hotdogs and burgers because of the almost inevitable burger van stationed by the entrance.

Cant believe you found so much! i have yet to find ANYTHING pony related at a car boot sale or charity shop. congrats!

Actually, people set up booths from the backs of their cars at almost every (American!) flea market I've been to!

I'm pretty amazed that I found all of those, I was fully expecting to go home empty handed.
Hexi, I've never found anything other than one G3 in a charity shop.

That's interesting, NoPonySpecial, I've never seen a flea market (American or otherwise) so I've learnt something!
I guess it's just a different name for a similar thing
