Anyone Believe In Fairies?

I don't believe in fairies. However, I think things like unicorns and mermaids are a possiblity because they've been depicted in art throughout the ages in several different cultures. Some people have claimed to see them. I think there is a possibility they did or do exist.

I believe in them, 100%. as does well over half the population of iceland. I also believe in elves, trolls, dwarves, gnomes... you name it. there's no doubt in my mind that they all exist.

I think that the probability of fairies existing is low. However, I have family from Iceland and they very much believe in Huldufólk (elves).  People in Iceland will go so far as to alter their building plans to avoid disturbing what they believe to be elf dwellings.

Despite the fact that I am not sold on all the mythological critters out there being real, I am absolutely fascinated by cryptids!   The idea of them makes life a little more fun and magical.   Brings me back to childhood when I wasn't yet programed to think so "in the box"!

I'm not sure - like Galactica said, I wonder if there may be nature spirits (or just some sort of beings in another realm of existence) that are interpreted as fairies.  I feel like the vast majority of our universe is unexplained, so I try to be open to possibilities like that, but I've never had any experience that has led me to believe in fairies or other local spirits.  Still, I'm open to the idea.

I believe - but I'm a witch... plus I think if you believe in one paranormal entity, you have to acknowledge that maybe all paranormal entities exist in one form or another....

Yes like melipuffles I believe in things until they are proven not to exist and it seems to me like most mythological creatures might have the knowledge and certainly the inclination to stay off human radar by and large.  It puts me in mind of the Studio Ghibli movie, Pom Poko...  I don't want to spoil the plot if you haven't seen it but suffice to say tanuki can hide in plain sight very well.  I like to think unicorns and mermaids and fairies are out there secretly and thus I do think so.

Shenanigans, I have the same beliefs about demons too. I'm not sure what I think about what nature spirits actually "are", but always thought it a possibility.
