Thanks, Lyra! :)

I really like the old Jasmine face mold better.
I see what they were trying to do with the new one, but her head looks oddly shaped. She also looks slightly younger with that big head of hers.

Yes I agree! It's the same with many of the other princesses, I like the 2010 ones better.

I think the 2010 Jasmine sold as a single would be easier to find as more people would have bought that instead of the wardrobe set I think. Maybe you could buy them separately, the Jasmine doll you like, then spy her outfit in a doll clothes seperately in a lot on ebay or something. I think the 2010 ones are quite popular, I'm after the belle and...urgghh.
And I think the 2010 ones also all have a version with larger highlights in the eyes and glitter all over the lips and eyes o_0 not easy to see in unclear photos so double check you dont get glitter liops by mistake

aaand I think that Jasmine photo I showed you does not show true size comparison they are all about the same height and can share clothes. Bodies are the same size but have different articulation, the heads are different sizes
This is a comparison of Belles that show height better

Ooh, and, any day now we will be seeing pictures of the new 2013 dolls because they come out about this time every year :)

Ahem. I wouldn't jump to get a 2012 doll for the articulated body because it has sitting issues, and they might have fixed that in the new doll (hopefully)

Ooooh- pretty dolls.  I actually do like the new face molds- I try to stay far far away from the Disney Store though- they have so many fantastic dolls!

Seems like the 2012 versions are more accurate outfit-wise.

Oh, and thanks for the heads-up! I think I'll wait a bit then and see how the 2013 version's gonna look like :)
I was actualy thrilled to find out that the 2012 version even has articulated feet. Dolls without a wide range of articulation just don't strike my fancy. If they have to collect dust on my shelf they should at least get dusty in a nice pose *fg*

The new 2013 Jasmine...ehhh I hate her outfit :( Doll looks the same, may or may not be able to sit better now

I just found out they will have Barbie legs and no joints in the knee at all! :(

edit: Actually I think her painted eyebrows are a bit different from the previous one. A lot smaller, and 'gradiated' towards the inner ends instead of solid colour.

Just my opinion, since Jasmine is supposed to have big eyebrows I think smaller ones are a bit weird. The 2010 one has small eyebrows but feels more balanced with her other features

The other dolls have no obvious changes either, I think all the molds are the same, they definitely changed a lot of eyebrows most notably on Belle and a lot of hairstyles are different. Their outfits seem to get progressively worse and cheaper looking :(
