My boy, especially when he's telling me a story he's making up on the spot.   And ponies, and ponyfolk, and tea, and random juvenile silly stuff that makes me laugh (work is actually a gold mine for that last one... ).

My cat. I wake up every day, thinking she's already out, and look to the end of my bed, and curled up asleep at the bottom is my kitty. She sleeps with me all night, and when she gets cold, she burrows into the bed and curls up beside me.

The lack of sun is another. Yesterday it was so hot for being May (although being the last day of that month) and today I have the tan to remember it. It feels good to have a day off from the sun and an excuse to be inside doing nothing.

I work as a nanny and the baby I watch has Downs. After months of working on it, he learned to clap his hands last week.  Made my whole day!

Aw! Yay for him! I used to babysit a little girl with Downs, she was so sweet, I learned sign language so I could talk with her, she would call me Ash-t...and run up and hug me whenever she would see me...Oh I miss her, I know she brought joy to my life and a new understanding, So I am glad you get to help such a sweet child too.

My wife, my family when they are not being crazy annoying, my friends (specifically Marsha, Kim and Tina), my pets and that I about it.

I guess a nice warm day outside makes me smile or getting to go hiking. Days when we just go for a drive. Days like today with flash floods ect not as cheerful.

Then again days like yesterday the last day of school when I have a few really good kids show up that want to still learn. Talking about their education and then getting hugs (I don't give hugs much with laws and being paranoid) and tears of my departure. Knowing people care even in a sad situation makes me smile. And feeling that I can walk away and have made a difference for some of the kids.

What makes me happy? So much!
-My family (and we consider our dogs family members, not pets) and best friends
-Hugging, cuddling with, kissing people I love
-Having interesting/funny conversations with friends and getting/giving advice
-Eating a delicious meal or dessert
-Pastel colored stuff
-Seeing people support and help each other
-Puppies! Being around animals in general
-Dancing and singing (karaoke)
-Sitting in the forest in summer and listening to the birds
