Blind bags: does this make anyone else laugh?

I've noticed this for a while, but is it me, or are the explanations on the collector's cards of the blind bags painfully simple and kind of...shallow? I don't know if that's exactly what I mean, but?

Like for Cadance: Likes to spend time helping others
Or Feathermay: Loves to tickle friends
Bitta Luck: is always busy

And so on and so forth!

I mean, I know they only have limited space to work with, but most of the descriptions for the ponies are always so silly! I see that they've started doing better with the neon series, which is good!

Oh I remember those Yan Yan sticks!

I agree, they are kind of silly but I don't think young kids mind, lol.
I just wish they made a little more sense. You'd think that for Cadance, a character from the show, they'd say something more show-accurate like "is a beautiful princess who rules the Crystal Empire with her beloved Prince".

And for Bitta Luck, her description could at least have to do with her name/symbol. "Bitta Luck is always finding ladybugs in cloverpatches. She is a lucky gal!"

Oh well.

Makes me long for a lengthy G1 backcard to read. Noteworthy "is so helpful!" and that's it. Nothin from him but help.

Yeah, they're great fun. People poked fun at Cadance for a while when all that was known about her was that she "like[d] tiaras!" And Shoeshine is "so understanding!" or something like that, whereas onscreen she's actually kind of a jerk to Fluttershy.

Yes they are a little one dimensional thats for certain But perhaps it allows for even more creativity - you can give him or her as many characteristics as you wish without "going against" the Hasbro back story!

I always make fun of the "She has so many friends!" ones.

I grab the blind bag card and the pony, get a wild insane expression on my face and say "She has SOO MAAANY FRIENDS" and shove the pony and the card in my husband's face. I like to bug him since he helps me open the blind bags.

Having 5 gajillion friends is overrated, lol. What a terrible defining feature.

I have two blind bag card that have list instead of just one sentence. I prefer the one sentences over the listed one, they are better designed. Now if I can remember where I put mine.

I also got some from ebay with out card which I original thought I would be fine with out.. Turns out I'm not.  Now I have a want list of cards.

I personally like that their descriptions are so vague, it gives kids a lot of free room to make up stories and personalities when playing~!

It does get a little goofy though when you take it as being their ONLY characteristic

Yes, you'd think with all the text the international versions fit on a card that the English only ones would've gotten even more descriptive than they did. Some of the earlier ones, like in the TRU set, have a longer blurb on the back.

My hands-down favorite is Celestia's: "is a magical pony!" You don't say?  I would have never noticed!
