Probably because the seller is in NZ and therefore you might actually receive your ponies with their heads on, in packaging, without customs destroying them.

Just my guess!  :D

Non-CP Greeks have been rising slowly in price from what I've seen, unicorns and pegs especially :)

shipping from nz isn't to bad either and every parcel is sent with insurance (we have no option about not getting insurance). Also I find alot of people like to combine postage so will spend a bit more on the pony that they would have allocated to postage costs. Furthermore  nz and aussie as a country tend to get blocked from bidding on intl ebay sites as lots of people now days don't want to post internationally so i would hazard a guess to say there were a few kiwis bidding on them

yah I haven't seen the alt pose, unicorn, peg greeks in ages is probably why... I kinda figured given the drought of late that they might go into the mid 200's and above ...  I know I didn't want to get into a bid war between the international vs local wants them toos

yah between really good condition greek and brazils of late let's hope that about dries up some of the competition's wallets, eh ;-)

I think it really just depends on who is bidding that day.  Prices fluctuate- which is why it's probably more accurate to get a value based on a number of auctions over a period of time-

I was watching her too, for my Sunlight collection...but I HATE orange and I have so many Argie orange shy poses in my army already! I can't have an Orange Sunlight breaking up my blue battalion. Not unless I can get an Orange Parasol to break up the pink battalion at the same time...

The Greek rainbow ponies used to be fairly common MOC, but not as many have been up for sale in the last couple of years. Some people prefer loose/mint to a pony sealed on the card, so a decarded Greek can go for as much or more as a MOC. I'm not totally shocked at any of the prices, but some are a bit more than I'd have guessed.

I do wish I had some extra spending money because I'd have gone after that beautiful Moondancer, lol. Congrats to the winner of her!

Wow, not sure why so high but they are LOVELY, it says the owner removed them from the  package so they must be super minty! So lovely...

jadis if a parasol comes up for sale you'll have a fight for her ;)

I won sunlight (and paid way more then I expected/wanted) But she's the only one I've seen since rel's moc sold a few years back... so I had to bid.

But I'm more surprised with orange skydancer, white skydancers prices....

I don't think I'll be fighting anyone for the oranges! My OCD tendencies means I *have* to have the orange Argies, but luckily Greek Sunlight and Parasol count towards completing those collections. Ugh, I would hate to have orange breaking up those lovely pink and blue lines...I'll take that money and wait for Argie Brillitos Flutterbye in the shy pose instead!
