I think the Disney Boutique inside JC Penny's is new. I didn't even know about it until there was an article in the paper.

The Melody doll is an OOAK. Here is the flickr page to where the creator talks a bit about her on the comments section.

Wow, that Melody is so pretty. :) I still regret missing the original Melody when she was released. I toyed with the idea of making a OOAK Melody for a while, but I would need a pretty doll with long black hair.

Ooh, that Melody is gorgeous! I wish, wish, WISH I had picked up the original one. Too bad this is only a OOAK doll because I would buy her for sure!

That Melody I cute. I have been wanting to make a OOAK of her for a while. I just need to find the right doll.

I would have loved to get the Ariel and Eric set today but I am all the way in South Africa and it is way out of my price range.

The Ariel and Eric set isn't on the disney store website. I forgot it was coming out today. I'm upset I missed that set.

I was so disappointed in the Frozen dolls at Target! I know it's a play line and it's aimed at even younger kids than in the past but all the dolls having molded tops and a weiner skirt as the only clothing is crazy! Even as a kid I would have picked up on that.

I'm thinking about putting them on a new body, does anyone know if Elsa would match EAH's Apple or is she too pink?

Ohhhh and I can't stop staring at the Princess & Me Frozen dolls! I'm not into toddler dolls but those eyes and face are amazing! But I don't see them ever going on sale so I don't think they will be coming home with me unless I hit the lotto, lol!

I seen the Frozen dolls at my local Wal mart and was terrible disappointed in them. Why do they feel the need to use a molded top on them. And Elsa's eyes are crazy big. Even her disney store version has huge eyes. I'm not sure I understand that either.

Yes, tried to get one in store (spent about 3 hours in the mall waiting around) and was sadly disappointed. The store received 13 dolls, and there were about 50 people. :(

If you really think about it, they are losing a considerable amount of money per store. If the edition had been a little bigger, and assuming that the other 37 that walked away without one had been able to buy one, that would be an additional $4,625 (without tax) generated for that one store alone.

I ended up getting one. There were about 16 people and 13 dolls. There were a few scalpers who got them. I think a 7 or 8k edition size would be bettere, but of course not everyone is going to get one unfortunately no matter the size really. Not unless you go with the Villains edition size or do a general public release like the classic dolls.

It's part of the appeal. If the size was much larger you wouldn't have as many buying because the scalpers will drop out.
