Unraveled Ribbon Hair Pony Custom WIP

Whew... try saying that 10x fast!

Anyway, not to long ago many of you recall that I had posted about using unraveled ribbon to make hair for a pony... And all I was able to post at the time was a tail done...

Well now I have one of these ponies with most of her mane done plus the tail! So you can get an idea on how that kind of hair looks.

Sorry for the sizes of the photos... I've been a tad lazy with editing anything lately and really these images are not worth the edits as of yet...

Now this pony only had one row of plugs and no forelock... I am going to add possibly two more rows plus the forelock (would that look too much on her?) and when I get more ribbon in that color. Also a repaint of the symbol and eyes... when I think of something..

Hmmm what else could I do to her? Any ideas or 'challenges' (no FBRs on her I can't do that after doing the hair)

Holy cupcakes, that's neat! I love the sort of crimped look it has.

It seems decently thick already, so I'd maybe just add the standard 2nd row of plugs that she's missing. Yes to a forelock. I don't have other ideas for you, but did wanna chime in on that idea ^^

I love the effect though! It mimics true rehairs well, except for that little texture, which I love! The result is really pretty and so soft-looking, I like it ^^

I think I will add just a 2nd row and a forelock... just need to figure out which side of the first row since that row seems to go almost dead center on her

Thanks guys, this pony almost made me run out of ribbon in the process, I'm going to see about buying a wider roll of it to finish her

That is definitely very pretty and I love the texture as well! 

My suggestion for which side to add the extra row of plugs?  Paint the eyes first and then decide   Whichever side turned out less perfect you can add the plugs onto and make the NDS   I'm terrible at getting symmetrical eyes and I always favor one eye over the other (I hope I'm not alone in this)...   

Best of luck though!  This looks like a lot of work!
