New "Apoxie Sculpt"!
« on: May 16, 2013, 11:40:53 AM »
I was at Micheal's the other day picking up some stuff and in the jewelry aisle they have a new section of Martha Stewart craft products. These products were for making jewelery but of course my mind went to "ponies"! They now sell a few different color epoxy sculpting mediums to put into a mold to make jewelry pieces, but after reading the package I believe it would work exactly the same as the online ordered apoxie sculpt (but for less money). I didn't buy any because I still have apoxie to use up, but I will certainly try it out next time!

That is a link to the description and a picture if you are curious, but you can find them in the beading aisle at any Michael's craft store :)

Fun! I'd be curious to hear from anyone who has used it-

I believe it would work exactly the same as the online ordered apoxie sculpt (but for less money).

Not even with Aves' crazy shipping costs. The smallest and least cost-effective package Apoxie Sculpt comes in is $9 for four ounces. The Martha Stewart clay is $9.99 for less than one ounce.

Huh, sorry Tabby I must've read it wrong in the store then. Oh well, if for some reason someone can't order it or needs it short notice, there you go.

We have seen and plan to buy some to play with but I doubt it will be as good as either Magic Sculpt or Aves.  I have a feeling it is a cheaper version.
